Beth has turned childhood travel inspiration and an international education into a career of award-winning travel planning for her discerning clients.

With her most vivid childhood memories stemming from family travels, it was no surprise that Beth decided to pursue an international career path. As a young adult, Beth studied and lived abroad in Spain; she fell in love with seeing the world during weekend and summer trips around Europe. Beth began her career in international development with a degree in Latin American Studies, but couldn’t keep the travel bug at bay. Her background served as a natural transition when she entered the travel industry specializing in travel to Latin America and Europe.

Now with over a decade of experience planning luxury travel, Beth prides herself on developing long-term relationships with her clients. She loves to get to know travelers and she appreciates that–even for an experienced traveler–needs for each specific trip may differ. Sometimes it’s a multi-generational trip with a wide range of ages to satisfy, sometimes it’s a romantic weekend getaway, and other times it’s a celebration with a group of friends. That’s why no two itineraries are just alike!

Beth is proud to be named to the Travel+Leisure A-List of top travel advisors for nine consecutive years. She has been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, and Travel+Leisure. Growing up, Beth’s family valued travel as an extended classroom for their kids. Today, Beth and her husband are paying it forward, committed to the importance of travel in raising their daughter. When she’s not working or traveling, Beth enjoys practicing yoga and eating her way through DC’s fantastic dining scene.

What’s your strategy to overcome jet lag?

Get on the local time as soon as you take off! Set your watch or phone to the time in your destination and try to sleep when it’s the appropriate time for your destination, and stay awake accordingly. Sometimes that means going *right* to sleep–eye mask on, no meal, no drinks! Other times, it means keeping yourself up for a while. Trust me–it’ll be worth it once you get there.

Which destinations/hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

I studied abroad in Madrid and fell in love with Spain. I try to get back as often as possible. In this profession, where seeing new destinations and having been “everywhere” is important, I still find great value in returning to places that speak to you, where you can really settle in and feel “home away from home.”

Testimonials

This was not our first trip with Beth as our travel adviser and it won't be the last. Beth has always given us wise, friendly, and well-considered advice. And, as her clients, we were treated royally. We traveled to Africa this time and visited Cape Town, Johannesburg, and two safari lodges. Thanks to Beth's seasoned advice, it was the flawless trip of a lifetime! Her experience led to the proper timing, perfect locations, and absolutely correct order of our vacation. Nothing was left to chance to ease our transitions. We were met at the airports by friendly and knowledgeable local escorts who whisked us easily and painlessly through security and to our next terminal and gate. Our private driver and guides were simply outstanding. As her clients, we were met with special amenities and upgrades on arrival at our destinations, and throughout our trip. Beth is well-deserving of our accolades and we certainly look forward to working with her again. Thanks Beth!

Beth was a pleasure to work with as she helped plan our honeymoon. She was very professional and understanding of our wants, and she gave us some great suggestions that fit our preferences. We ended up going with the location she recommended in Bali and it was incredible. She took care of all the details and even handled the little things that we never would have thought of. That made for a stress-free honeymoon and made our overall experience that much better.

This is the third time we've worked with Beth, and she continues to impress. We reached out about a quick anniversary trip to New Orleans and within 48 hours Beth had great hotel options for us in NOLA. The hotel she recommended to us was fabulous, and the "extras" she was able to offer us as a Virtuoso guest were fantastic.

Beth (and her team) created a most memorable trip for my husband & me. She listened to our desires and was able to give us excellent feedback arranging fabulous hotels, and the option for unique tours in both Amsterdam and Denmark. She went above and beyond in arranging for my husband to explore his family's heritage in Denmark. She found a genealogist who found the areas where his family was born, was baptized, was married! We were able to find the towns because of Beth. This was a trip of a lifetime. Without a doubt we shall continue to use Beth (and her team) for our future travels.

This is the fourth trip we have enjoyed planning with Beth. From start to finish, she offered some great suggestions (i.e. La Posta Vecchia upon return from our cruise) and was so efficient with planning and preparation. Beth was particularly helpful with suggesting the port excursions on our cruise. We provided some parameters regarding what we were looking for; she advised us which ports were better for a land tour and which ports we could explore independently. In addition, Beth contacted us regarding a last-minute suite upgrade (to a Penthouse suite!) and was also able to handle our request to change our cruise options from a shipboard credit to four included excursions.
