“And just like that, the city had spoken: Travel Industry Marketing.”
Emily grew up in a small town in Upstate NY, with breathtaking views of the Mohawk Valley. If she wasn’t cliff diving at the local creek, she was probably relaxing by a tree-lined bonfire.
While earning her Bachelors in Communications at The College of Saint Rose, Emily enjoyed meeting students from all over the world. When she wasn’t staying up-to-date on the latest social media trends, she was dreaming of her many adventures to come. Her first trip out of the country would also be her first plane ride, next stop: London-town. Upon her return as an exchange student, she found inspiration in the memories and lessons she had brought back with her. From this day forward, travel wasn’t an option- it was necessity.
Following graduation, she worked in the advertising and events fields, but lacked the sense of fulfillment she desired. Back to the drawing board she went and came to the conclusion that New York City would provide the answer. Just two months after moving, Emily found SmartFlyer (through LinkedIn of course, what else?), and just like that, the city had spoken: Travel Industry Marketing.
First, I like to wake up at a decent time in the morning to take an invigorating jog along the shore. After breakfast, it’s time to soak up the sun, snorkle, and relax on the beach to some of my favorite laid back tunes. Late afternoon/ early evenings are for exploring local hot spots and boutiques, followed by dinner at an authentic restaurant, and enjoying nightlife like a local.
I’ve always wanted to visit Fiji, it looks absolutely gorgeous. Kayaking would be a must!
I always recommend taking probiotics while traveling overseas. The immune system has to work harder as it battles new microbes its never been exposed to. Vacation is for relaxation, not sickness!
