Ladies Weekend in Dallas
How did you land in Dallas?
I made my way back home after college and completing my commitment to Teach for America in Nashville. I love my home town and a favorite perk is that Dallas is a small/big city with southern charm and you can travel easily to anywhere in the world from DFW.
Favorite hotel for a weekend out of the house?
The Joule Hotel Downtown. It has it all, the brand new shopping mecca: Forty Five Ten across the street, a Speakeasy for late night cocktails, one of the best coffee shops in the city, a Tashen Library pool with a view! And last but not least, their spa and fitness/spin studio give you the complete package.
The Spa at The Joule! The private owners of The Joule spare no expense when it comes to their hotel, so you know you can expect nothing but the best when it comes to their Spa. Make time for an extra hour just to use the spa facilities, their underground pool in the perfect place to sip champagne and slip into full relaxation mode before your treatment! Try their “Personalised Contour Body Treatment” for slimming, sculpting and detoxifying the body. Or one of their over the top facials like the “Triple Lift Luxury Facial” leaving your face visibly restructured, radiant and smooth!
Where to shop:
Day time chic is denim, with a crisp white shirt and your favorite designer bag. For night time dress up the look with a pair of YSL’s and some red lipstick and your guaranteed to fit in.
Typical Dallas accessory:
A Janessa Leone Hat, a great pair of heels and a cute dog are my go to’s. But you can pick up the perfect Dallas style accessory downtown at the Original Neiman Marcus.
A girls’ night out in Dallas consists of:
Dancing the night away to Texas County music under the stars at The Rustic!
Best place to get a taste of local living:
Highland Park Village is the perfect outdoor shopping area in the heart of Dallas’s most famous neighborhood. Stop into Royal Blue or Bird Bakery for an iced tea and it’s packed with Locals! Or head to my neighborhood Bishop Arts for a more laid back vibe with it’s cool restaurants and low key vibe and a Texas treat with music at the Kessler Theater.
