Swanky, provocative and chic, with art around every corner. 21c makes you feel completely removed from the city outside its walls, in a good way. It's minimal and modern design is the perfect backdrop for the surprising art scattered throughout the hotel. From the award-winning restaurant and bar to the gallery space and interactive art, you could spend a weekend here without leaving the hotel.
All the room types are unique and there isn't a bad option. Entry level deluxe rooms have a view of the building, which is surprisingly interesting and beautiful. Luxury rooms have a little more space and city views. The suites are all unique, and great for families or extended stays (I'd recommend one of the three corner suites, which can also connect to a luxury king if needed). Balcony rooms are a no-brainer in the nicer months with equal amount of outdoor space as indoor. Of course there is the Cyclone Room for an immersive 21c art experience. Last but not least the penthouse apartment, which is absolutely stunning with a kitchen and living room, and a large outdoor terrace. The Penthouse can also be used for private events for up to 75 people.
Gym - yes. Basic, but everything you would need. Pool - no.
Proof on Main is the restaurant/bar at 21c.They have a seasonal, farm-to-table menu, along with a bar and cocktail menu that will make you happy your bed is just a few steps away.
The bar here is one of the best in town - very swanky and chic, with seasonal cocktails and of course, Bourbon. I recommend grabbing a drink and walking through the gallery before dinner (or any time, really) - one of my favorite things to do in town.
Yes, but I would be aware that the art (which changes) can be rather provocative, so I'd leave it to parents to decide if it is "kid-friendly" based on the current installations.
In the middle of downtown Louisville, walkable to museums, the YUM Center, and other attractions, and a quick cab or drive to other popular neighborhoods in town.
