Sophisticated yet really laid back & charming.
One of the many unique things about Cavallo Point is that there is so much history. It was once the site of the Fort Baker military base, a former U.S. Army post. They offer historic lodging with modern amenities which were former officers' residences. For the traveler that enjoys a more modern style, they offer contemporary lodging spread out on the hillside boasting the most incredible views.
The pool is part of their Healing Arts Center and Spa - equipped with a heated pool for guests that are 16yrs and older.
The Healing Arts Center & Spa - It's INCREDIBLE!
Murray Circle restaurant is AMAZING! It's housed in one of the beautiful historic buildings with a large green lawn in front. When the weather is cooperating, guests flow onto the porch where there is a buzzy, fun atmosphere. The food at the restaurant focuses on local markets and fresh newly caugh seafood.
The bar next to the restaurant serves up delicious cocktails & beer and depending on the night, there are local musicians.
YES! The property is an upscale summer camp. There aren't dedicated programs, but tons to explore outdoors on property and at nearby museums. Additionally, the restaurant has a dedicated childrens menu. Babysitting services also available.
It’s unbelievable that a place like Cavallo Point exists so close to San Francisco. It’s as though you have been whisked away from the moment you arrive and transported into a real life post card. The property graciously welcomes you – there are historic houses that line a beautiful and expansive green lawn. Picture the most pristine summer camp you have ever seen. The day I arrived, the sun was shining, children were running around, live music playing while guests were enjoying food and drink on the porch. The service is perhaps just as impressive as the view and vibe. Hotel staff greet you by your name and really get to know you and your preferences throughout your stay. The property has so much to offer - whether you want to enjoy the spa all day, go for a hike, partake in a cooking class, or visit the city.
