Mukul Beach, Golf & Spa

Tola, Nicaragua

SWIPE THROUGH GALLERY

"Upon arrival you're met by the warmth and hospitality of the local Nicaraguan staff. That and the open air lobby with views of the Pacific instantly put a smile on your face."

Style
Wellness Beach Golf
Vibe

Mukul is chill and comfortable, but still stylish and charmingly Nicaraguan.

Rooms

The Bohios are perched above the coastline and offer spacious interiors, panoramic decks, and private plunge pools. Beach Villas and Beach Compounds are great for families or groups of friends. Each with private pool and direct beach access.

Pool & Gym

Gym is small but filled with natural light. There is also a yoga pavilion nestled amongst the trees on a cliff overlooking the beach. The large main pool sits below the lobby and is divided into two halves by a small pathway.

Spa

The spa at Mukul is incredible. Each of the 6 private spa suites has it's own theme and design. If you have time for one of the 3.5 hour ritual experiences go for it!

Restaurant

There are two restaurants and the option for a chef's tasting experience. La Terraza is an al fresco, beach side restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu offers traditional items and local Nicaraguan favorites. Tres Ceibas Sports Bar & Grill is down the beach in a circular building built around one of the ceiba trees for which it was named. Open seasonally for lunch and/or dinner, the menu varies from sushi to pizza. The third dining option is to arrange for a chef's tasting menu in La Mesa. The experience is designed to feel as if you are dining in a private home.

Bar

Although not a bar in the traditional sense, the Palapa Lounge is a great place to gather and hang out. Drinks and small bites are served here.

Kids

Kul Kids, the complimentary kids club, has it's own small pool and playground plus an impressive variety of activities.

Location

On the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua in Guacalito de la Isla.

Agent Tips

If you fly into Managua make sure to stop by the Masaya Volcano on your way to Mukul. It's an active volcano and you can drive right to the top and see lava bubbling down below. Very cool!

A surf lesson with TropicSurf is a must. Even the first time surfers in our group where able to stand up and ride a wave. It was easily the highlight of my trip!

The Pellas family has a long history in Nicaragua, including the creation of Flor de Cana rum. I highly recommend attending one of the rum tastings held daily in the rum room. It's a great way to not only learn about rum, but some Nicaraguan history as well.
