Rooms + Suites

This centuries-old estate feels intrinsically bound to the countryside and its vineyards.

Housed in the buildings of the Borgo itself, the 23 suites exude harmony, with antique furniture, handcrafted textiles and artisanal pieces. The terraces and picturesque views are alive with greenery. Created from restored 17th- and 18th-century farmhouses, 11 luxury villas capture the changing moods of the landscape. Featuring stone, wood, antiques and bespoke furnishings, the elegant interiors are distinguished by their Sienese hues, handcrafted pieces and pleasing textures. The two- to six-bedroom villas all feature private heated pools and some offer a wood-burning pizza oven, home theater or private tennis court, plus an extended list of amenities.

One of the best ways to experience Castiglion del Bosco is to stay in one of their meticulously-restored, historic villas. Villa Oliviera and Castello are two favorites. They are beautifully decorated and extremely luxurious and spacious. In late fall, nothing beats watchinging the morning mist over the rolling green hills while sitting in your heated pool.
Pool + Gym

Saline infinity pools with panoramic views.

Located within the Borgo, the estate’s main pool is conveniently situated for guests of the suites. While enjoying a refreshing swim in the heated infinity pool, guests can look out upon the hilltop town of Montalcino, the Val d’Orcia and the woods of Castiglion del Bosco. All of the pools within the estate, including the private villa pools, are saline infinity pools which are kept at an ideal 28°C.

Offering panoramic views of the estate’s gently rolling hills, the fitness center is open 24 hours per day / 7 days per week and features next-generation Technogym equipment to improve balance, strength and flexibility. Fitness training sessions include aerobics and other exercises, training can that take place in the estate’s woodlands or in the privacy of one’s villa. Guests can also benefit from customized daily program with the assistance of a personal trainer. Sportswear is available on property upon request.
Spa

Located at the heart of the Borgo in the estate’s former wine cellars.

The Spa at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is a heaven of serenity, suffused in earth tones and natural hues. With its sauna, steam bath, relaxation area and lush private garden, this refuge offers rest and rejuvenation for body and soul. The spa offers two complementary paths to beauty and rejuvenation: exclusive treatments developed in the laboratories of the renowned anti-ageing specialists of La Prairie, and The Spa at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco’s own natural body care line, which draws on the rich flora and natural bounty of southern Tuscany.
Restaurants

Hearty dishes of Tuscan tradition.

There are two restaurants available on property, Ristorante Campo del Drago and Osteria la Canonica. The estate’s Italian restaurant serves upscale, traditional cuisine inspired by the different regions of Italy and enriched with fresh produce from the organic kitchen garden. Go an epicurean journey in Campo del Drago's warm, understated atmosphere. For a more rustic and informal setting mirroring an authentic trattoria, sit down at Osteria la Canonica where the scents and seasonal flavors of the organic kitchen garden are on display.
  • Bar
An intimate, club-like space imbued by the Italian culture of good wine and cocktails, the CdBar adjoins our Ristorante Campo del Drago. With its al fresco terrace offering ever-changing views of Montalcino and the Val d’Orcia, it’s a perfect aperitivo spot, but equally suited to a nightcap with friends or that special someone.

At the Pool Bar, enjoy fresh, simple Italian delights under the warm Tuscan sun. The views of the hilltop town of Montalcino and the UNESCO-protected park of the Val d’Orcia are to be admired any time of day, and there is no more perfect vantage point than from The Pool Bar's quiet, relaxing setting beside the panoramic infinity pool.
  • Who's it for?
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is the perfect destination for both friends, families and couples. Their villa accomodations are ideally suited for medium to large-sized groups.
  • Location
The Val d’Orcia region of Tuscany is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its stunning landscapes, cultural heritage and excellent red wines. With its gentle, carefully cultivated hills, dotted with cypress trees, red poppies and yellow sunflowers, and its small picturesque medieval towns, it is a landscape which has been depicted and celebrated in works of art over the centuries.
