Property Overview

Singita Sasakwa Lodge is built in the style of a stately Edwardian manor house with nine private cottages and a villa, each with a private infinity pool. The view from the lodge’s spacious veranda is almost endless over the majestic Serengeti plains below. A sense of grandeur is woven throughout the turn-of-the-century manor house and private cottages through a blend of authentic European style and East African influences. From this superb vantage point, one can become absorbed in the marvel of an abundance of wildlife, including the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest, widely known as the greatest natural spectacle on earth.

The lodge ensconces its guests in comfort, luxury, and old-world elegance. From the vantage point of Sasakwa Hill, panoramic views of the Serengeti plains merge with the horizon and provide a sense of immense space and freedom.

Singita Sasakwa has nine cottages at the main lodge and one Hillside Suite, all with private plunge pools. The cottages are all uniquely named and each offer ample space for guests to spread out in their own living area, large dressing room, oversized bathroom and bedroom. We love Hillside Suite which is all about privacy, offering infinite views over the plains of the Serengeti. Set high on a secluded hillside away from the main lodge, this romantic hideaway for two ensures an authentic connection with nature, while every creature comfort is catered for. Featuring spacious interiors, two wooden outdoor decks, a private rimflow pool as well as a unique ‘bar-deli’ filled with delicacies, this is the ultimate retreat. Guests enjoy everything from private in-room dining to a private game vehicle, Field Guide and host/butler. The vast indoor and outdoor areas allow for wellness experiences enveloped by nature, including calming yoga practices to in-room spa treatments and soothing couples’ massages on the expansive decks.

Singita Sasakwa Lodge offers an expansive swimming pool next to the main house in addition to private infinity pools at each cottage and at the private villa. For those who want to stay on track with their gym regime, there's a large fitness center (the biggest of all the Singita lodges in Grumeti) with state-of-the-art fitness equipment.

The spa journey can be performed in the tranquility of the Spa, which overlooks the beautiful Serengeti Plains, out on a private deck, or in the comfort of guest suites.
