New Opening: Auden at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park

The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park will debut its new restaurant Auden on September 28, 2012. The hotel has redesigned its bar and dining area with the help of the Rockwell Group to offer guests bistro fare in a warm and comfortable environment. The restaurant’s renowned chef Mark Arnao uses primarily local ingredients from Hudson Valley farms as part of the Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints program to emphasize social responsibility.

Chef Mark Arnao’s offerings are simple yet unique in their presentation. Many of his dishes are seafood focused. Plates on the menu at Auden will include Crispy Oysters Rockefeller, Barbeque Beef Short Ribs and Pot Roasted Free Range Capon. In addition to these dishes, patrons can choose from a large selection of local cheeses and produce and charcuterie.

Auden at the Ritz-Carlton Central Park has been designed to resemble a classic New York City townhouse. The restaurant will include a bar, dining room and private event space that can accommodate up to 120 people when combined with the hotel’s other venues. Of the restaurant, Scott Geraghty, the General Manager of the hotel, has said, “We wanted to create a warm, inviting environment for our guests with a wonderful menu that, like Central Park, changes with the seasons.” Congratulations to the Ritz-Carlton on this exciting new addition to the hotel. We can’t wait to visit!
