Agent Tips

  • Jumby Bay Island is home to the Jumby Bay Hawksbill Turtle Project, the longest running privately funded project since 1987. This preservation program focuses on the scientific study of the endangered Hawksbill Turtle and works to ensure their survival and recovery. From June to November the research team patrols the beaches throughout the night to observe the turtles and collect data. Sign up to be notified in the middle of the night to experience viewings of turtles nesting or hatching!
  • Be sure to take a snorkeling trip to Bird Island to seek out parrot fish, sea turtles, blue tangs, octopus and the occasional stingray.
  • The fish tacos at the Beach Shack are a must, and be sure to catch a sunset at Jumby Bay Beach.

Pool + Gym

Designated for quiet relaxation.

The property has three resort pools. The beachfront Jumby Bay Pool is a space designated for quiet relaxation, nestled among palm trees with an elevated infinity edge pool that cascades towards the ocean just beyond. The family friendly Veranda pool, set amidst a tropical garden, offers a classic setting that is perfect for swimming laps or family pool time. The Infinity Pool at the Pool Grille offers a tranquil respite from the Antiguan sun, perfect for sun-worshippers and those wanting to take a dip before lunch.

Spa

A blend of modern and ancient therapeutic practices.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, the spa at the Jumby Bay is a true sanctuary, infused with elements of nature. Guests are invited to enjoy an open-air relaxation lounge and plunge pool which overlooks the sea and connects to five ocean view treatment rooms, a steam room and sauna. The treatments are designed to combine the use of modern therapeutic practices from all over the world with ancient healing remedies of the West Indies and African cultures. It is the first spa in Antigua and Barbuda to welcome the globally loved ‘Queen of Green Beauty,' Tata Harper, and her 100% natural, organic, custom treatments and rituals.
Restaurant and Bar

A range of fine Caribbean dining and elevated small bites.

Jumby Bay Island boasts an array of restaurants helmed by Executive Chef Erick Sanz. The Veranda is a casually-chic beachside restaurant that is the heart of the island, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Estate House combines classic and modern flavors and is considered the top fine-dining destination in the Caribbean. For those who don't want to leave the water, The Pool Grill is a spectacular beachside setting serving casual bistro fare for lunch as well as refreshing cocktails, house snacks, and fresh fruit juices. The Beach Shack is also great for light lunch or a mid-day snack, offering Latin American and Caribbean inspired flavors prepared with local ingredients.

The Veranda Bar is the chic social hub of the island, often the first and last stop for many guests of Jumby Bay Island. 1830 bar has a more historical vibe situated within the old plantation house. Retaining historical elements of the original structure, the bar features a color palette of rich green tones inspired by the verdant island landscape. The Pool Grille Bar is an ideal spot for a poolside cocktail, while Genny's Bar is a traditional open bungalow surrounded by palm trees, hibiscus, and wild orchids.
