Mahali Mzuri is Sir Richard Branson's Kenyan safari camp, with twelve luxury tented suites perched on raised platforms in the Maasai Mara ecosystem, directly in the path of the Great Migration. Each suite features a spacious bedroom, en suite bathroom, sitting area, and a private deck overlooking the landscape, where wildebeest, elephants, zebras, lions, buffalo, and hippos are regular visitors. What better way to relax between game drives than at Nasaro, which means ‘refuge’ or ‘relaxation’ in Maa, the language of the Maasai. Nasaro is an intimate private spa treatment room located down near the valley floor, a secluded setting in which to be pampered with views out across the bush. A range of treatments are available, from hydrating facials to relaxing massages, perfect for dealing with travel fatigue or sore muscles after a game drive, and of course those essential grooming rituals. The spa uses a range of products from Africology, an eco-friendly brand whose ethical skin care products capture the rejuvenating and healing essence of Africa.
Restaurant + Bar

Meals in the wilderness.

At Mahali Mzuri, feasting goes well beyond the camp's main dining tent. A hot drink and snack fuel the early morning game drive, followed by breakfast in the bush halfway through. Lunch makes the most of the camp's far-reaching views, or head out to the plains for a picnic. Afternoon tea bridges the gap before the final game drive, and sundowners on the way back to camp mark the shift into evening. Dinner, served fireside, poolside, or wherever the mood takes you, brings the day to a fittingly memorable close.

Drinks are included in the room rate at Mahali Mzuri, with a self-serve honesty bar available around the clock and the camp team always on hand to mix something a little more considered. The firepit and lounge sofas set the scene for winding down at the end of the day, recounting the best wildlife sightings of the day, a cold drink in hand.

    Mahali Mzuri sits within Kenya's Olare Motorogi Conservancy, perched on the side of a lush valley with sweeping views over the rolling plains below. The camp is about 150 miles west of Nairobi, and the most practical way to arrive is by light aircraft into Wilson Airport, from where the camp is a short transfer away.
