What does your perfect vacation day look like?

My perfect vacation day is all about balance. It starts slow, never rushed. I like waking up in a beautiful space with natural light, somewhere that feels thoughtfully designed, whether it’s a beachfront villa or a city hotel with character. From there, I like to explore in a way that feels intentional but not overplanned. It could be a visit to a museum, walking through a neighborhood with a unique identity, or discovering small boutiques and galleries. I prefer fewer, more meaningful experiences.

Lunch is always somewhere with a sense of place, followed by a bit of downtime either by the pool, at a spa, or just taking a moment to reset. In the afternoon, I’ll usually do something cultural or design-focused, and then ease into the evening. Nights are about atmosphere—great lighting, great music, and a restaurant that feels special but not forced. For me, a perfect day isn’t about doing more; it’s about feeling completely in sync with where I am.

How do you prepare for your trips?

I prepare for my trips the same way I design them for my clients—thoughtfully—but without overcomplicating things. A few key reservations secured, the right guides in place if needed, and a strong sense of the destination’s rhythm. That said, I always leave space for spontaneity, because some of the best moments happen when you’re not following a strict plan.

Research is genuinely one of my favorite parts of the process. I spend a lot of time diving into a destination—discovering new places, uncovering hidden gems, and refining what’s actually worth doing. I filter everything through trusted sources, personal recommendations, and my own network—people on the ground who really understand what’s happening in real-time.

I also lay everything out in Google Maps: restaurants, neighborhoods, galleries, and any spot that sparks interest. It gives me a clear visual of the city and allows me to move through it intuitively, without needing to follow

Travel Tip

  • Always build in space to wander—some of the most memorable moments happen when nothing is scheduled, when you have the freedom to explore, discover something unexpected, and experience a place in a way that feels entirely your own.

Testimonials
