Accommodations

Rooms at The American Club are spacious and thoughtfully designed, offering either one king or two queen beds. Each includes a comfortable seating area, refreshment center, and wet bar, while bathrooms highlight Kohler’s signature bathing experience. In total, two hundred forty-one rooms range from standard king/double to deluxe, superior, heritage, and suites. Each room showcases a distinct “BOLD Look of Kohler” design, adding a unique character to every stay. Given the resort’s connection to a plumbing company, the bathing experience is where it truly stands out. Just across the street, the Carriage House serves as the resort’s wellness-focused hotel, connected directly to Kohler Waters Spa. Its fifty-five rooms, each named after carriages, offer a refined and modern stay.
Pool + Gym

Swim options abound.

Complimentary shuttles take you to the Sports Core fitness facility, located about one mile from the hotel. Here, you’ll find two pools: a family pool for open swimming and classes, and a competitive pool for lap swimming. In the summer, you can also enjoy lake swimming, complete with a beach area, water activities, and a floating raft for relaxing in the sun. Access to Sports Core is included during your stay. You’ll also have access to more than eighty weekly fitness classes, ranging from Pilates and kickboxing to HIIT and circuit training. The facility features twelve tennis and pickleball courts, both indoors and outdoors, along with a whirlpool, sauna, and steam room. Locker rooms for men, women, and families are available.
Spa

Custom-made hydrotherapy.

Kohler Waters Spa features twenty-one treatment rooms and is known for its innovative approach to hydrotherapy. Spa specialists work closely with Kohler’s plumbing engineers to design customized water-based treatments, resulting in a truly distinctive experience. It is recognized as the first Forbes Five-Star spa in the Midwest. Beyond treatments, the space is designed around the restorative power of water, with amenities including a co-ed relaxation pool with a waterfall, a rooftop whirlpool, steam rooms, saunas, and cool plunge pools.
Restaurant + Bar

A range of dining experiences.

Whether it’s a gourmet breakfast, a leisurely afternoon snack, or an elegant dinner, Kohler Hospitality offers a range of dining experiences. There are over eleven restaurants on the property that are Green Restaurant Certified. This means that all leftover food is taken to a food processor, broken down, and transformed into material that is used for various purposes, from fertilizer to a component of asphalt in new road construction.

This casual historic tavern was once the taproom for Kohler Co. workers who lived at The American Club® and now features delicious pub fare and an extensive selection of microbrews. Upon arrival, you are invited to join the Welcome Social in the Library Bar from three in the afternoon to six in the evening. Here, you may try the signature “Sidecar” cocktail complimentary; traditionally made with cognac, orange liqueur, and lemon juice, the “Sidecar” has long been a staple at The American Club®. The American Club has multiple bars on the property, from the Horse and Plow pub to the Immigrant Wine Bar.
