Property Overview

L'Andana is an idyllic hideaway in Tuscany and one of the largest estates in the region. Located in the Maremma natural park, at the foot of lush green hills lined with olive groves, the hotel, a proud member of Leading Hotels of the World, is fifteen minutes away from the Tyrrhenian Sea. A former Medici summer residence owned by the Grand Duke Leopold, it evokes a palatial sense of grandeur and typical Italian romance. You'll find here a beautiful ESPA with holistic programs, five pools, a boutique, and a wine shop. The property's two restaurants, which have gorgeous views overlooking the countryside, are the starred La Trattoria by Enrico Bartolini, opened only for dinner, and the more casual La Villa restaurant. There are also Tuscan winery tours and tastings offered nearby. The farm produces its own olive oil and wines.

Accommodations

Historic grandeur and refined countryside elegance.

Originally built in the eighteenth century as the private residence of Grand Duke Leopold II of Tuscany, L’Andana blends historic grandeur with refined countryside elegance. The main villa features thirty-seven rooms and suites, designed by renowned architect Ettore Mocchetti. Interiors reflect classic Tuscan style, with warm golden fabrics, traditional furnishings, and, in many rooms, cozy stone fireplaces and sweeping views over the surrounding countryside. In the restored former stables, fourteen Junior Suites and Suites offer spacious living areas, kitchenettes, and private terraces overlooking the driving range and the rolling Tuscan hills.

The estate’s newest addition, Il Granaio, features ten elegant suites that can be combined into five two-bedroom apartments with dining areas and kitchenettes, ideal for exclusive-use stays. These suites embrace a brighter country-chic aesthetic and overlook the estate’s cypress-lined avenues and vineyards, while a ground-floor two-bedroom suite also features a private pool and bar. For the ultimate private retreat, La Scuderia offers a two-story private villa with four bedrooms, a private pool, expansive gardens, a bright kitchen and living space, and a shaded porch with sweeping views of the Tuscan landscape.
Pool + Gym

Poolside perfection, indoors and out.

The resort has five pools in total, one indoor and four outdoor: the family pool, close to the Kids' Club, which also has a pool for children, an adults-only pool at the spa, the indoor pool, the private outdoor pool at the Granaio, and the private pool at the La Scuderia private villa. A gym is located at the spa and offers personal trainer classes and yoga lessons indoors or out.
Spa

Wellness programs designed to relax the body and rejuvenate the spirit.

Reset at L'Andana's ESPA, which offers four treatment rooms, two thermal spas, a mineral-rich heated Vitality Pool, a Turkish bath, and a thalassotherapy pool. The spa menu offers a range of classic treatments, including body wraps and scrubs, massages, facials, and day-long holistic wellness programs designed to relax the body and rejuvenate the spirit.
Restaurant + Bar

Local recipes served alongside gorgeous views.

La Villa, the main restaurant, offers local recipes such as pappardelle with meat ragout and has a huge garden with gorgeous views of the countryside. The one-Michelin-star La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini, open only for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday, offers an incredible experience of high cuisine. Try the seawater-cooked risotto and fish moqueca, a Brazilian Italian specialty.

Enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine in the lobby or on the terrace of the Villa.
