Laura Perez Mazatlan 10 Years of Experience Specialties Africa, Family Travel, Honeymoons

With a passion for meaningful travel and a thoughtful eye for detail, Laura believes the most memorable trips create lasting connections and in turn, hold the power to become ingrained in a family’s story for years to come.

Driven by the belief that travel is one of life’s most poignant luxuries, Laura has built her career around helping others create unforgettable moments through travel. She began her journey as a travel advisor specializing in honeymoons, inspired by the significance of that first adventure one takes as a married couple—a trip that marks the beginning of a shared story and creates memories that last a lifetime. While she continues to design exceptional honeymoon experiences, her work has naturally evolved alongside her clients—she now plans thoughtfully curated journeys that celebrate connection across every stage of life of the families she works alongside.

Laura’s own travels deeply shape the way she plans for her clients. Her safari honeymoon sparked a lasting connection to the African continent, and it remains one of the destinations she knows best. Laura plans each itinerary as if she were taking it herself, considering not only where her clients should stay but also how a place will stay with them in the long-term. Ultimately, she aims to craft moments that will become cherished memories for years to come.

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

Without a doubt, East Africa has been the most memorable destination I have experienced so far. I grew up by the sea, and I have always believed there is no scenery or feeling that compares to being near the ocean. Yet experiencing Masai Mara gave me a similar sense of awe—the savanna stretches endlessly, with horizons my eyes could not find the end of, much like the sea. It gave me a profound feeling of life and freedom that few places in the world can offer—those rare moments that make me feel deeply alive and profoundly grateful for life.

Which destinations are you looking forward to visiting? Why?

I would love to visit Costa Rica with my family. As a mother of three young boys, I’m drawn to destinations that spark their curiosity and sense of wonder. Costa Rica feels like an endless playground for that – from discovering reptiles and wildlife, to touching plants that interact with you with just a gentle touch, to exploring beaches, rainforests, hiking trails, and so many outdoor adventures. I love the idea of watching them experience the world with fresh eyes and seeing their excitement for the small wonders of nature.

Travel Tip

  • Explore every destination like a local. Take the time to slow down and experience a place beyond the highlights. Give yourself enough time in each destination to enjoy it without rushing. And whenever a piece of art speaks to you, bring it home.
