Allison fell in love with travel in 2009, when she began her career as a group tour leader through Europe and Western Africa. Having witnessed the profound impact that travel has on people, Allison came back from these trips with a newfound passion for inspiring similar experiences for others. This ultimately led Allison to found Over The Moon Vacations with her husband, Josh.
Together, Allison and Josh plan culturally-driven custom trips around the world, all with the expertise they’ve honed through their own adventures. Above the personal experience gained from visiting more than thirty-five countries in the last decade, Allison brings a unique approach to travel planning; she goes above and beyond to act as a trusted friend and resource to clients in order to bring even their most elaborate visions to life.
What destination do you find yourself returning to time and time again?
I can’t stop making repeat visits to Thailand, Italy, and Greece – the luxurious hotels, delicious food and culture keep me coming back for more. Oh, and those Thai massages? Not so bad, either.

My boyfriend (now fiancé!) and I worked with Allison to plan one of the most unforgettable vacations to Greece in June. We came to her with a bucket list of activities and a flight to Athens, nothing more, and she helped perfectly craft a phenomenal 10 days through Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and Milos. She advised on the best vendors and hotels to use, down to dinner reservations and transportation.
We never had to worry about how to get from Point A to Point B. We never had to question if we had chose the wrong hotel / location, picked the wrong vendor for an activity or feel without any clue as what to do next on our trip. Even when it was the middle of the night for her, she’d check in on us and reconfirm our bookings for the next day. We always knew she was looking out for us.
