My perfect vacation day starts slowly with no rush, ideally in a hotel room with a great view, whether it’s a historic city before it wakes up, along the coast, or surrounded by nature. Experiencing a destination in those quiet first hours always feels special. I like to start the day exploring cultural landmarks, local markets, architecture, or museums. Lunch is always an experience rather than just a meal. I look for places that reflect the local culinary identity, preferably somewhere authentic and relaxed. In the afternoon, I like to slow the pace and focus more at leisure, perhaps visiting a vineyard, a spa, a scenic viewpoint, or strolling around streets and shops. Evenings are my favorite part of the day. I love dinner time, discovering the destination’s gastronomy, and ending the night with a walk through beautifully lit streets or a drink with a view. For me, a perfect vacation day is feeling completely present in the destination.
When I spent a semester in Australia on a university exchange program. This experience opened my eyes to the diversity of cultures, a destination full of contrasts, many new adventures, and a chance to step outside my comfort zone. Above all, it gave me the opportunity to travel extensively to nearby cities and countries, where I fell in love with places so unique and different from one another.
Keep up with the places that deserve more than a bookmark, but a check-in.
