27 Years of experience

With the firm belief that when we travel, we travel to seek joy, Ann-Catherine partners with her clients to create impactful experiences.

After twenty-five years as a frontline advisor and business leader for a large travel company, Anne-Catherine had developed such a spectacular client list of movers and shakers, that she was compelled to open her own business, The Little Travel Boutique. Her consultancy focuses solely on crafting clients’  travel plans with the support of the SmartFlyer Australia platform to further deepen her connections within the industry.

With a travel philosophy centered around travelling for joy (#travelforjoy), Anne-Catherine believes that travel based on joy-seeking brings a deeper connection with both the destination and its culture. She also believes this approach deepens connections with your travel companions, and with yourself, inadvertently contributing to our understanding of why we travel and what we gain from our travels.

Anne-Catherine is passionate about hotels and relies on her first-hand knowledge to pair travelers with the ideal properties for each trip. Always in search of unique accommodations that evoke wonder, she goes above and beyond to enhance clients’  travels. Whether sailing the high seas, flying on a multi-stop global ticket, or embarking on iconic train journeys worldwide, Anne-Catherine – or “AC” as her nearest and dearest call her – excels at weaving together all elements to guarantee her travelers an enjoyable planning process that evolves into a memorable journey.

Which destinations are you looking forward to visiting? Why?

I’m currently planning a family trip to Egypt and am becoming really enamoured with the destination. With the opening of the new Grand Egyptian Museum, as well as the elevation of Nile River Cruise options, we are enjoying working out the details together and researching what to do. Can you imagine waking up to see the Pyramids outside of your hotel window? What a dream.

Which destinations or hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

Hawaii is my happy place, and The Halekulani in Honolulu is my “home away from home” there. We usually head to Honolulu to recharge or celebrate a milestone family event as it’s an easy trip and has the perfect blend of beauty, culture, food, and holiday vibes. We try to visit a different island every time, and Kauai, along with the new 1 Hotel at Hanalei Bay, is on our ‘Hotel Bucket List.’ The kids are already asking when we are heading back!

Travel Tip

  • The hotel concierge is your best friend in any new destination. They know the best eateries, hottest shows and places to go, as well as how to get there. Don't be afraid to connect with them as their entire purpose is to get you out and about having fantastic local experiences.
