Born in South Africa and raised in Los Angeles, Jacqui brings her multi-cultural background to all trips that she plans for both families and groups.

Jacqui is a mom of three teenagers whose family now calls New York City home. As a lifelong traveler who loves to explore new cities, destinations and discover the best hotels, lodges, restaurants, and experiences along the way, becoming a luxury travel advisor was a natural progression. Jacqui has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

What inspired you to become a travel agent?

Travel has always been my most beloved activity–I love to talk with friends and acquaintances about where they have been, where they are going, and what they loved (and disliked!) about their recent travels. After years of informally advising my inner circle on recommendations based upon my personal experiences, I decided to become a professional travel advisor.

What does you perfect vacation day look like?

The perfect travel day for me at a resort includes a morning hike, lunch on the beach or at a local beach club, and then dinner at a local restaurant while I plan the next day’s adventures; ideally, a boat is involved at some point! In a city, the perfect day includes a delicious breakfast with specialties of the region I’m visiting, a morning walking tour with city highlights, lunch at a local restaurant, an afternoon food tour or cooking class, and dinner at a destination restaurant; food and wine are a big focus of my personal trips and therefore part of my expertise that I offer to clients.

Travel Tip

  • Utilize local dining guides when looking for authentic dining options; I often cross-reference Eater or Infatuation recommendations with concierge lists.
