Jennifer Richardson

New York
7 Years of experience

Jennifer has been obsessed with travel since she can remember.

From the time she was an infant, her parents toted her along on all their many travel adventures, from Israel to Africa to Europe and the Caribbean, so she blames them for her insatiable travel bug!

Almost immediately after graduating from university, Jennifer went to live in Southern France for six months, where she worked for the French-American Film Festival in Avignon and at a French-American cultural institute with locations throughout southern France.   In her free time, Jennifer explored the rest of Europe with nothing but her backpack and Eurail pass. Eventually Jennifer went to law school.  Her best memory of those three years is her trip to South Africa after taking the Bar exam!  Jennifer’s full-time legal career rarely got in the way of exciting travel to Asia, Europe and across the USA.

More recently Jennifer started a travel blog at the urging of friends who were fascinated by her ability to whip up culturally rich, adventurous and fulfilling itineraries.  She is consistently on the pulse of cutting edge travel trends while never losing sight of the depth that comes with tradition.  She is excited to dig in and use her obsessive research and negotiating skills, combined with a heaping dose of creativity, to plan an authentic, fulfilling and seamless escape!

How do you prepare for trips?

I prepare for trips by doing as much reading and research as possible in advance so that I won’t have to waste precious vacation time trying to get up to speed.

Which destinations / hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

I cannot stay away from Nantucket for too long. Even though it’s only about 30 miles off the coast, it feels a world away. In summertime, the whole island looks like one big garden. It is fuss-free yet sophisticated, bike-friendly, kid-friendly and so relaxing!
