Many of my clients are inspired by the allure of Europe at all times of the year, especially the perennial favorite: Italy. I personally love visiting Italy because it is one of the most enriching destinations in the world thanks to its storied history, delectable food, and warm hospitality; it’s a place to explore, immerse yourself in Italian culture, relax, unwind, sip on local wine, and savor homemade culinary delights.
My most memorable travel experience was visiting Japan. It was such an eye-opening trip, exposing me to a very different culture. I explored Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, and each destination was very unique and left an impact that I’ll always hold dear. Tokyo is such a clean city with so much to offer. I enjoyed the customs while eating dinner—including expressing “Itadakimasu” and “Gochisousama” before and after a meal respectively—and visiting the charming bars and restaurants. Golden Gai, an area in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has around 200 bars in a small network of alleyways, where most of the bars are tiny, some with as few as six seats. This was one of my favorite places to explore and I’m always sure to include it in client itineraries to Japan!
