Having lived in Europe for over half a decade, Kylie’s passion for travel was ignited at a young age.

Growing up in a military family, Kylie moved all over the globe and, in turn, was able to visit thirty-five countries and four continents by the time she was eighteen. Some of her favorite locations include Milos (Greece), Normandy (France), and Edinburgh (Scotland). She went on to study Hospitality and Tourism Management at New York University in New York City, which led her to her career in travel. She makes it a point to visit a new country each year in order to expand her knowledge and enrich herself with new cultures.

Her philosophy for a memorable trip is to not have any expectations and to appreciate the location for all that it has to offer. Some of the best trips have come from unexpected destinations. This mentality influences Kylie’s travel style as she remains open to suggestions and is willing to try new things for the possibility that it could turn into a trip of a lifetime!

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

ATV’ing on the coasts of Milos, Greece has to be one of my all-time favorite moments. This island only has a population of seven thousand people. It is untouched and one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Between the varied beaches, the cliffs, and the local hospitality, it is the perfect escape from reality. No wonder it ranks at the top of my list of destinations I would revisit over and over again.

How do you prepare for your trips?

I prepare by doing extensive research (maybe that’s the travel agent in me). I’m always searching for the coolest local bars and restaurants, the “must-see” hotspots, and what there is to do in the surrounding areas. Of course, I want to see the sites, but I also want to find out what makes the destination so special. And, of course, I’ll do a little shopping!
