You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a plane ticket and in Lauren’s book, that’s kind of the same thing.

With a passion for all things worldly, Lauren knew she was destined to build her career in travel from a young age. Growing up in Asia, she learned to embrace other cultures as if they were her own; this passion energized her love affair with exploration. Lauren’s career in travel started in 2006 while working in the airline industry. Occupying this sector of the travel space for over a decade, Lauren looked after some of Australia’s top frequent flyers–it was this work that truly helped her find her travel niche in the luxury sector.

Following her time on the airline side of the business, Lauren spent five years in London where she worked in Luxury Concierge and Influencer Marketing. Having a European capital city as her home base allowed her to travel extensively as she found practically any excuse to hop on a plane! In 2020, Lauren returned to Sydney with the launch of her own company, Benson Bespoke, a luxury travel concierge service.

Amongst her family, friends, colleagues, and online community, Lauren is the ‘go-to’ for where to eat, sleep, shop, and be seen. She is on the pulse of the best new hotel openings, trending destinations, restaurant launches, and dreamiest day and nightlife scenes. She shares her knowledge with her clients, providing exceptional customer service, tailor-made experiences, and priority access to luxury locales.

Which destinations do you go back to again and again?

I always find myself returning to Paris and Italy. Who doesn’t love the magic these destinations exude while wandering the streets full of smiling locals? Oh, and I of course can’t forget the croissants, spaghetti, and shopping!

What does your perfect vacation day look like?

Waking up early, having a pre-planned list of where to get a good coffee before going for a walk around the town. Then, perching myself on a tranquil daybed by a body of water and remaining undisturbed for the rest of the day.
