Coming from the world of luxury hotel concierges, Maria excels in making the seemingly “impossible” possible for her clients.

Born and raised in New York City, Maria’s love for unparalleled hospitality began at a young age. This passion would later take her to Switzerland, where she received her degree in Hospitality & Hotel Management from Glion. From there, Maria moved on to London, where she offered her expertise to guests at several five-star hotels throughout the city.

In 2020, the pandemic brought Maria back to this ‘side of the pond,’ to Miami, where she held the position of Concierge at Four Seasons Hotel At The Surf Club. Her tenure as a concierge deepened her knowledge of sought-after experiences while allowing her to build coveted industry relationships.

As the Experience Manager for KAX Lifestyle, Maria finds one of the most rewarding aspects of her role being able to use her background and talents to craft thoughtful and memorable itineraries. Maria now splits her time between Miami and Florence, Italy—the ideal home bases to explore all the desirable destinations between the two (and even those further away).

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

When trying to narrow down my most treasured travel memories, I think back to visiting the floating market just outside of Bangkok. I had never seen anything like it before. It gave me a glimpse into authentic Thai culture and offered unique culinary experiences I now love recommending to clients.

Which destinations are you looking forward to visiting? Why?

I am looking to visit Japan in the near future. I think it is such a fascinating culture rich in heritage. And of course, I have to mention I’m excited for the food! During my time living in Italy this past year, I did a deep dive in Puglia, from Santa Maria di Leuca to Polignano a Mare, experiencing many different hotels. Next year, I’m looking to do the same scouting throughout Sicily!
