Mariam Villarreal Monterrey 3 Years of Experience Specialties Africa, Cruise, Hotels

Whether it is a luxurious couple getaway or a perfectly planned family vacation, connecting with clients and helping them create lasting memories is the driving force behind Mariam’s work.

One of Mariam’s greatest joys is visiting a new country for the first time, an experience that consistently reminds her of the value of her role as a travel advisor. After traveling and exploring the world from a young age, she has developed a deep curiosity about other cultures and traditions, a passion that led her to study International Relations at ITESM in her hometown of Monterrey, Mexico. There, Mariam learned how interconnected the world really is and gained a lasting appreciation for other cultures and environments.

Mariam has traveled to more than thirty countries, sailed on more than forty cruises, gone on a safari in South Africa and Botswana, hiked Machu Picchu, and experienced a tea ceremony in Japan. Everywhere she goes, she prioritizes getting to know interesting people and learning about their languages, histories, and gastronomies. Mariam’s desire for connection shapes her approach to planning trips for clients as she curates moments that will last long after a return flight touches down back home.

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

I have been lucky enough to travel around the world and have had great adventures, but if I had to pick one, it most definitely would be spending my 40th birthday in Botswana. Exploring the waters in the Mokoro was just amazing, and ending the day with sundowners with a gin and tonic, looking at the most perfect sunset with my husband, tops it all.

Which destinations or hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

Capri holds a really special place in my heart, especially after my father passed away. It is the place where I traveled many summers with my parents, spending our days at the Quisisana Hotel, lounging by the pool, shopping, or just people-watching at the bar and having an aperitivo.

Travel Tip

  • A trip is enjoyed before, during and after the trip. Before by all the planning and anticipation, during by being present and enjoying yourself, and after the trip with all the memories you bring back home.
