Meera believes travel is a deeply personal journey—one that deserves to be thoughtfully designed, effortlessly luxurious, and unforgettable.
Before becoming a luxury travel advisor, Meera spent sixteen years as a food journalist, where she immersed herself in the world of restaurants, chefs, and cuisine. Her work helped her uncover the profound truth that food is one of the most intimate ways to understand a place and its culture. That deep curiosity naturally blossomed into a passion for travel—especially when experienced with intention and care. For years, Meera collaborated with a SmartFlyer travel advisor for her own adventures, allowing her to experience firsthand the unparalleled value of expert guidance and thoughtfully curated itineraries.
When it came time to pivot careers, the choice was clear—helping others experience travel at its most seamless and luxurious was the obvious next step. Meera is convinced that a truly memorable trip begins with an exceptional hotel and is elevated by meticulous planning. From securing efficient flight routes to arranging private transfers, unforgettable culinary experiences, and immersive local tours, she ensures every detail is masterfully handled. To her, the essence of her role lies in collaboration and curation—partnering with clients to create the moments they’ve dreamed about while she handles the complexities behind the scenes.
Her travel tastes span indulgent, romantic stays in Paris to vibrant family adventures through South India, all tied together by a deep appreciation for hospitality professionals who consistently go above and beyond. Meera brings that same commitment to her clients, designing journeys that are personal, polished, and truly unforgettable.
My favorite travel experience was a trip to Paris and Champagne, where I stayed at two incredible hotels: The Ritz Paris and Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa. At the Ritz, my friends and I were treated like the most important guests in the hotel—every detail was anticipated, and the staff made it effortless to relax and enjoy the moment. Even when things went sideways—lost luggage, dinner delays—their team swooped in and handled everything with such grace that we could simply focus on having fun.
In Champagne, the concierge at Royal Champagne executed every request I made with professionalism, warmth, and precision. It was the ultimate example of luxury travel: having expert teams not only follow your lead but elevate your entire experience with seamless, thoughtful service. That trip showed me just how transformative great hospitality can be—and I bring that same standard to every itinerary I design for my clients.
Two resorts I’d return to again and again are Maroma, A Belmond Hotel in Mexico, and Eden Rock – St Barths. At Maroma, the service is unmatched—with a staff-to-guest room ratio of seven to one, everything feels quietly attentive and deeply personalized. The resort itself is serene, the beach is pristine, and the food is unforgettable—especially the handmade tortillas. It’s a place where time slows down.
Eden Rock, on the other hand, offers a livelier energy with all the refinement of French island hospitality. From Jean-Georges’ cuisine to the beautifully designed rooms and the most comfortable beach beds (reserved just for you), it’s indulgent without effort. It’s also perfectly balanced: calm, quiet mornings can easily turn into vibrant evenings in town. Both places are lessons in effortless luxury, and I’d return to either in a heartbeat.
Keep up with the places that deserve more than a bookmark, but a check-in.
