For Patricia, exceptional travel is about creating deeply personal experiences that blend thoughtful planning, cultural connection, and unforgettable moments.
Before becoming a resident of Chicago’s North Shore over a decade ago, Patricia grew up in Mexico. Her multicultural background helped her develop a deep appreciation for different cuisines, languages, traditions, and ways of experiencing the world. But it was her love for food, hospitality, and discovering new places that naturally led her to a career in travel advising. Before becoming a travel advisor in 2023, Patricia spent years planning trips for friends and family, always enjoying the process of creating meaningful and memorable experiences for others.
Today, she combines that passion with a thoughtful, highly personalized approach to planning travel on behalf of her clients. Having traveled to more than thirty countries, Patricia believes the best recommendations come from firsthand experience. She enjoys helping clients discover destinations in ways that match their personal interests, whether through exceptional culinary experiences, cultural immersion, or seamless family vacations. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Patricia is known for her excellent communication, warm personality, attentive listening skills, and ability to truly understand what her clients value most. For Patricia, travel is never just about where you go—it is about how each experience makes you feel long after you return home.
Climbing the Great Wall of China in Beijing has been my most memorable travel experience. As I made my way up the steep, uneven steps, I was struck by a deep sense of awe—the Wall seemed to stretch endlessly across the mountains, disappearing into the horizon. It felt like I wasn’t just hiking, but stepping through history with every move. The physical challenge made it even more meaningful; each tower I reached revealed a new breathtaking view and a reminder of the scale and ambition behind it. Standing there, surrounded by centuries of history and sweeping landscapes, I felt grateful, humbled, and inspired.
A perfect vacation day for me combines discovery, movement, and authentic local experiences. I love starting the day by learning something new—whether it’s exploring a historical site, visiting a museum, or learning about a place’s culture through a guided tour. I like to pair that with a physical activity, such as walking through a city, hiking scenic landscapes, or even biking, so I can fully immerse myself in the surroundings. To end the day, nothing beats unwinding at a local restaurant, enjoying regional cuisine, and soaking in the atmosphere. For me, that balance of learning, activity, and connection to local culture makes a day truly unforgettable.
Keep up with the places that deserve more than a bookmark, but a check-in.
