What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

Nothing will compare to my honeymoon! It was a balance of relaxation and adventure across some of Australia’s most sought after destinations. We spent most of the trip on a private island in the Great Barrier Reef which was incredibly remote as it is only accessible by helicopter. We had the resort practically to ourselves since we shared it with only one other couple. We enjoyed swimming in the Great Barrier Reef and having beach picnics on remote parts of the islands. On one of our outings, we had the privilege of encountering a female whale and her calf. And, not to mention the gorgeous sunsets every day we were there. We ended our honeymoon in Sydney which provided a seamless transition back to civilization after an unforgettable experience before returning home.

Which destinations are you looking forward to visiting? Why?

I’m invested in further deepening my knowledge of safari, and hope to visit Rwanda next! Trekking with the gorillas in Rwanda is at the top of my bucket list because I know seeing them up close in their natural habitat would be breathtaking. The adventure doesn’t end there–game drives, cultural immersion, and family-style dinners at the bush camps and lodges await. Every aspect of the journey promises to be extraordinary.

Safaris have a way of humbling your soul and creating a lasting impression, so I also aim to visit Kenya and Tanzania one day. I would love to bring my children along for these experiences. Seeing the magic of new experiences light up in their eyes is so special. Their curiosity and excitement for travel are contagious!
