What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

One of my most memorable travel experiences was a family journey through the remote landscapes of Bolivia and Chile. The adventure began in La Paz and continued across the vast Altiplano to the breathtaking Uyuni Salt Flats, the world’s largest salt desert. From there, we traveled through the surreal high-altitude deserts of southern Bolivia, passing colorful lagoons filled with flamingos, steaming geysers, volcanic peaks, and some of the most isolated scenery on Earth. The journey concluded in Chile’s Atacama Desert, one of the driest places in the world, where the landscapes felt almost otherworldly. What made this trip unforgettable was not only the extraordinary natural beauty but also the sense of remoteness and discovery. Experiencing such untouched places together as a family reinforced my belief that travel has the power to inspire wonder, broaden perspectives, and create lifelong memories.

How do you prepare for your trips?

Once I set my sights on a destination, I immerse myself in research. I read as much as I can—from history and culture to local traditions, food, and hidden gems—to better understand the place before I arrive. I also enjoy gathering recommendations from fellow travelers, locals, and trusted industry contacts, as some of the best experiences come from personal insights. That said, I always leave room for spontaneity. While I appreciate being well-prepared, I believe some of the most memorable travel moments are the unexpected ones—a chance encounter, an unplanned detour, or a hidden corner that wasn’t in any guidebook. For me, the perfect trip balances thoughtful planning with the excitement of discovery.

Travel Tip

  • Embrace the local culture and always be open to learning something new—it's often the most rewarding souvenir you can bring home.
