Vanessa understands lavish travel is more than a five-star hotel; rather, it is the reassurance of enjoying an idyllic vacation with all the details handled.

Curious about the world around her, Vanessa grew up studying maps at bedtime. From a young age, she was eager to one day experience the thrill of visiting the faraway lands of Africa, Europe, and Asia, just like her grandparents and great-grandparents. As a parent, she now prioritizes sharing this enthusiasm to learn about new cultures with her three children.

From Europe to Singapore, Vanessa travels the world with her family, taking in the sights, sounds, and wonders of each destination. She equally cherishes travel with her husband, saving destinations that require longer haul flights and more intense itineraries for her favorite travel companion. Together, they have been to some of the most remote and romantic destinations.

Vanessa believes that different types of travel offer the opportunity to revisit and learn about oneself in different landscapes. Her expertise lies in crafting family-friendly itineraries, understanding the unique joys and demands of traveling with children. Her extensive travels have provided insights into accommodating destinations and luxury hotels that cater to families without compromise.

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

This is such a tough question and there’s a tie for first place. One is a formative travel memory for me and it was my first visit to Paris when I was a teenager. I remember visiting Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny–a day trip away in Normandy–which was so beautiful and charming. The next day we visited the Musée de l’Orangerie. Experiencing The Water Lilies paintings the day after spending the afternoon in the place that inspired them was so magical and special.

The other travel experience that left a true mark was sailing through the British Virgin Islands. We chose the islands we wanted to visit day-by-day depending on what we were in the mood for. We spent the long, warm days swimming in gorgeous turquoise water and eating lobster dinners barefoot on the beach. In our downtime, it was rejuvenating to have time to lay out and read a book with beautiful views all around.

Which destinations are you looking forward to visiting? Why?

There are so many places I still want to see in the world, so it’s hard to choose just one. However, at the moment, an African safari tops my list. The thought of venturing out into the bush, seeing the wildlife in their natural habitats, and learning about the local cultures is exciting. My dream safari would be in Kenya during the Great Migration and I would charter a hot air balloon over the Masai Mara at sunrise for an incredible display of nature.
