Join our Michael Holtz as he takes us to the land down unda’ for a little bit of everything to get your full Aussie experience.

Start nestled in the Blue Mountains where boxing kangaroos are the locals then move over to Sydney for days filled with surf, beach eats and climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. In Tasmania you’ll get knee-deep, Oyster shucking in the bay and take a trip to the MONA Museum (you’ll want to hear this museum’s back-story). Not done yet! You’ll also hit Hamilton Island for golf, scuba and snorkeling; Brisbane for nightlife and finish off in Fiji for time at leisure …told you this trip had everything.

TRIP NOTES

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS:

  1. Get strapped in for an epic climb up the the Sydney Harbour Bridge -you’ll make it all 200 steps to the top for some of the best views of Sydney!
  2. Put yourself knee-deep in the bay and become one with nature while you schuck oysters with a bottle of bubbly at your side.
  3. Check out the MONA Museum, the most important modern art museum in the Southern Hemisphere
  4. Delve into Pacific Ocean-life, not only by snorkel or scuba -but by Laucala’s own submarine!
  5. Board Virgin Australia at LAX bound for Sydney… You will enter the brand new Boeing 777, turn left, and enjoy one of the longest, largest FLAT Business Class seats in the sky.  At their on board stand up bar, you will get a small taste of vegemite.

Australia & Fiji Itinerary:

DAYS 1-3: WOLGAN VALLEY RESORT

On arrival into Sydney Airport, a driver will meet you and take you to your first stop, the One & Only Wolgan Valley Resort nestled in the Blue Mountains, the drive will approximately be 2 hours and 45 minutes.  Get over your jet-lag in style with the boxing kangaroos and plenty of clean air and crisp mornings.

DAYS 4-7: SYDNEY

Check into the stunning 35 sq metre Park Hyatt Sydney Suite, the penthouse suite on the redone hotel, located directly in front of the famous Opera House. Spend your Sydney days surfing on Bondi Beach, lunching at the iconic Icebergs (With views of the Bondi Swimming Club), or checking out the panoramic views from the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (I highly recommend the Bridge Climb!)  End your evenings by checking out some of Sydney’s best restaurants and bars, my personal favorite is a dinner at Mr Wong followed by late night partying at Palmer & Co.  Of course, you can’t forget about the great shopping opportunities, the AUD is off 35% year over year! Luxury goods are on sale.

DAYS 8-11: TASMANIA

You are Qantas bound for Hobart, on arrival, pick up one of the four convertibles on the island (SUV if a family) of Tasmania and enjoy the 2.5 hour picturesque drive to Saffire Freycinet, set in Coles Bay Conservation Area.  Spend the next three days enjoying nature, oyster shucking in the bay, and amazing regional wines.

DAYS 12-14: HOBART

Drive back to Hobart, check into Henry Jones Art Hotel, right near the harbour, the building was an old jam factory in its past life.  In Hobart, a must see/do is the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), which is arguably, the most important modern art museum in the Southern Hemisphere.  MONA is the largest privately funded museum, with over 10,000 sq feet of modern and contemporary art.

DAYS 15-18: HAMILTON ISLAND

If you’re feeling fancy, hop on a Lear 55 Jet and fly up to Hamilton Island, within 20 minutes of arrival, you will be in your suite facing the water at Qualia. It’s the ultimate sun, fun, diving, snorkeling in Australia, a member of Relais & Chateaux. Golf is nearby, you will enjoy your own golf cart to explore the island – be sure to drive to the peak, often a venue for weddings on the island.

DAYS 19-20: BRISBANE

Next stop is Brisbane – spend a night at Spicers Balfour Hotel in Brisbane, often referred to as the “Miami” of Australia. Great nightlife, always nice weather.

DAYS 21-25: FIJI (Optional Add-On’s)

After recharging your batteries, board Fiji Airways brand new Airbus 330 heading for Laucala Island – BULA!!! On arrival at the Nadi International Airport, Laucala will send over their own jet to collect you for the 70 minute ride to the islands own airstrip. Enjoy 4 days of pure rest and adventure. Laucala has their own submarine so you can check out the Pacific Ocean sea life, all of the water toys you would expect, from Jet Skis on down. 5 different restaurants, all of their produce and meat are grown on the island. Truly a magical place, owned by the founder of Red Bull, so yes, they have Red Bull volleyball courts too.

On the last day, head back to the airport and take Fiji Airways back to LA and connect home.
