The St Barths Hotel Roundup

Whether you’re looking for a hillside romantic hideaway or a chic party scene, this island has it all and we certainly have our favorites.  From the Rockstar Villas over at Eden Rock to the boho-chic beach club at Le Toiny, to Hotel Manapany – the eco-resort over at Anse de Cayes, we’ve put together a comprehensive list of our favorite St Barths hotels.

Cheval Blanc Isle de France

With a spectacular sense of place and unveiling exquisite island elegance, the 61 rooms, suites and villas (soon to be more!) celebrate the Maison’s lush gardens, splendid views of the sea or white sands of Flamands beach. All rooms, suites and villas feature spacious beautifully appointed bedrooms, private dressing rooms, light-filled bathrooms and a private terrace or balcony with views of the gardens or ocean. Isle de France is elegant, romantic, private, and perfect for both couples and chic families alike – with the new updates they’re also getting ready to unveil a new Kids Club.  Located on Flamands beach, one of St Barths‘ best beaches, guests can opt to stay on the beach, hike to Colombier Beach nearby, and literally never leave the comfort of the property.

Eden Rock St Barths

Eden Rock is located on a rocky promontory surrounded by white sandy beaches, gin clear sea, and amazing coral reefs full of colorful wild sea life. Not to mention that it’s also at the very heart of the island, perfect for quick strolls to the shops, boutiques, bars, and restaurants situated in the village nearby, not to mention right across the water from the iconic Nikki Beach St Barths. This island mainstay is perfect for couples and families alike who leans towards splashy rockstar villas and lively vibes just down the beach from their rooms. We love the calm, shallow beach on St Jean, which is not only perfectly safe for kids to swim in, it’s also the perfect spot for an afternoon spent on the beach. The property shut down for renovations in 2017 and really took its time to get ready for its upcoming unveiling for the highly anticipated 2019 holiday season.

Le Barthelemy

Set on a perfect crescent bay, Le Barthélemy is refined and fresh, as elegant and restorative as its stunning beachfront location. With interiors by celebrated designer Sybille de Margerie (who also did the interiors over at the eclectic Mandarin Oriental, Paris) and cuisine by Michelin-starred French chef Guy Martin (renowned chef/owner of Le Grand Véfour), the hotel truly embraces its chic Parisian pedigree while reveling in its relaxed St. Barts setting. For those looking to accommodate a bigger group or family, Le Barthelemy has two gorgeous, light-filled six-bedroom villas right on the beach of the Grand Cul de Sac!

Le Toiny

Le Toiny is located on the most private and rugged side of St Barths, where the wind blows hard on the rocky shores, the hotel is quiet and understated, and completely unpretentious. The new beach club, modeled after Le Club 55 in St Tropez is a boho-chic dream, the hotel whisked you down to the club in a customized white Defender for long leisurely lunches, toes-in-the-sand, rose-all-day restaurant, stopping only for a shopping break at the boutique that’s housed in one of the island’s original stone buildings. The Villa Suites, each with its own romantic private pool and decorated in a ”coastal chic” style with a neutral color palette and a range of natural materials and textured accessories, are perched on a hill overlooking the stunning bay of Toiny surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

Le Sereno

Designed by famed Parisian designer Christian Liaigre, it’s the much-anticipated reincarnation of the iconic Sereno Beach Hotel. As reinvented by Liaigre, Le Sereno is an intimate, elegant sanctuary. A beachfront gem with 36 exquisitely furnished suite and villas. It’s located on the east end of the island along 180 meters (600 feet) of beach on picturesque Grand Cul-de-Sac, a turquoise cove protected from the ocean waves by a coral reef. Virtually all suites and villas have a view of the turquoise lagoon, the newly rebuilt hotel is stunning in its simplicity, the design of the hotel only highlights the beauty of nature around it.

Villa Marie

Villa Marie Saint-Barth has 21 bungalows and villas and is part of Maisons and Hôtels Sibuet. It is located approximately 2 miles from SBH Airport. Overlooking the spectacular Flamands Beach, in the hills above Colombier, Villa Marie St Barths is one of those destinations where the feeling of romance and quality of life are matched only by the beautiful setting of the unspoiled countryside.

Hotel Manapany

One of the newest additions on the island of St Barths, the eco-resort located in the mellow Anse de Cayes, you can feel the French-Caribbean vibes the moment you step through the doors and greeted with the enviable views of the Caribbean blues. Hotel Manapany is heavily invested in preserving and protecting the environment by providing amenities like electric vehicles for guests to use and solar-powered water heating. The resort features a fabulous farm-to-table restaurant serving up Mediterranean fare that highlights the locally sourced seafood by cooking it simply, to-the-point, by utilizing a French rotisserie to prepare chicken, meat, pork, lamb, and fish. There’s also a spa offering Dr. Hauschka Skin Care products, yoga classes, and two swimming pools overlooking the turquoise ocean.
