Property Overview

This national monument, set on eighty-eight acres of private land and a long stretch of private coastline, is also a nature park with very special bird and sea life. It was created from a former nineteenth-century military fortress, stunningly blended into the landscape. Cap Rocat was so ingeniously built into the cliffs that despite its huge walls and ramparts, the building cannot be seen from the mainland or the sea. Only the canopies of the rooftop lounges on the terrace are visible on the horizon. The former shooting pads were converted into suites, each with its own private patio and terraces.

Like the rest of Cap Rocat, the spa is characterized by deep privacy and a complete lack of ostentation. The rough limestone is softened by clever lighting, delicate woods, and soft local fabrics. The focal point is a dramatic saltwater swimming pool, sunken below ground level, yet wonderfully bright. A wide conservatory-style glass ceiling allows the brilliant Mallorca sunshine to flood the space by day, while by night, the clear star-filled skies create a mesmerizing place to swim. Seven treatment rooms each work as a haven of peace and calm, places to totally escape. Cap Rocat’s wellness team has devised a range of products using local, natural ingredients, including Mallorca citrus, almonds, and extra virgin olive oil in body, facial, and sports treatments.
Restaurant + Bar

Food, understood as a simple luxury, is an integral part of Cap Rocat’s daily life, from breakfast, which can be served in the private patio of the suites, to an intimate private dinner, which can be served in one of many areas that are set up daily in and around Cap Rocat. SEA CLUB is an open-air restaurant located on the waterfront, in the spectacular Cala de la Reina, with a traditional Mallorcan firewood oven and grill, where handpicked local products are cooked the Mediterranean way. LA FORTALEZA is a gourmet restaurant located in the big dining room. The cuisine, which changes with the seasons, is based on traditional Mallorcan recipes with the twist that only a young chef can give.
