Property Overview

Located in the Museum Square district, the true heart of Amsterdam, the Conservatorium is an architectural masterpiece that combines a landmark heritage building with graceful, contemporary design. Award-winning Milan-based furniture and interior designer Piero Lissoni has embraced the tradition of fusing simplicity and functionality through the re-incarnation of the spectacular building.

In this vibrant and elegant setting, the city's crown jewels – the Van Gogh Museum, Concertgebouw, Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark and Amsterdam's most indulgent shopping – are literally at your doorstep. Besides that, the luxury shopping avenues, P.C Hooftstraat and Van Baerlestraat, are next to the hotel as well as the charming Vondelpark. For culture and for business, it's a location like no other.

Guests will discover a modern design with a mix of earth-tones and crisp lines. Not to mention, spacious bathrooms. We loved the specialty suites which are uniquely designed; geometric lines play off the buildings angles and become part of the room. The living space set up is cozy and cool, perfect for hosting friends for a nightcap or letting the little ones play while you spend a few extra minutes in bed.

We love the Junior Suite. It comes complete with double-headed showers, which make for the perfect way to decompress after a day of sightseeing! One of them is at the back of the shower and there is a bench so you can sit while the water falls on you. Glorious.

The freshly baked banana muffins and Eggs Benedict are a favorite. They even pre-portion the homemade granola so you can grab a bag as a snack for later in the day.

The Conservatorium Brasserie offers contemporary local dishes for all-day dining, including salads, sandwiches and the seasonal Plat du Jour. At the Conservatorium Hotel, a personal "Host" is assigned to each and every guest. The Host department is a new concept, a fusion of Concierge and Guest Relations, providing an individual service to the guests. The Hosts can take care of bookings and arrangements, give an insight into the city, offer in-the-know advice and even introduce guests to locals.

The Conservatorium Hosts are your knowledgeable and local friends in Amsterdam. We especially love them as gurus to getting seemingly booked restaurants! We recommend consulting your Host to reserve a table at the city's top spots.
