Accommodations

An incomparable castle stay.

Each and every one of the castle bedrooms is distinct in style and size. Traditional in their design, they make you feel like you're definitely in a real Scottish castle! Garden View Suites are the entry-level bedrooms, moving up to Grand Garden View Suites, then Grand Sea View Suites, Junior Suites, and then the magnificent Master Suites with Sea View. Additionally, the Castle Penthouse Suite spans the whole top floor of the castle (4,500 square feet!) and offers a further four bedrooms, plus sauna, beauty and treatment room, media room, library and games room, period kitchen, drawing room, and dining room, with personal butler and private chef.
Restaurant + Bar

A daily-changing seven-course tasting menu.

Fine food and wines are central to the experience at Glenapp Castle. The castle dining rooms offer classic fine dining, with a daily-changing seven-course tasting menu as well as a three-course gourmet dinner menu. The menus offer a "seed to service" food offering, where most of the produce has come from the kitchen garden just a few feet away. The Azalea Glasshouse & Bothy is situated in the original Victorian glasshouse in the walled garden (the only other similar glasshouse left in Scotland is on the late Queen's Balmoral Estate) and offers the perfect space for private dining. There is no bar; rather, there is personal butler service. American guests describe the service as their personal Downton Abbey!
  • Vibe
A Downton Abbey feel with an intimate level of service and genuine attention to detail.
  • Who's it for?
Glenapp Castle is well-suited for multigenerational travelers, couples, families, and those seeking privacy, nature, and adventure. Not to mention, it is an Instagrammer's dream!
  • Location
Nestled on the enchanting, lesser-traveled southwest coast of Scotland, here you can escape the hustle and bustle of tourist hotspots like the Highlands and the cities. The castle is located in 110 acres of its own estate, surrounded by manicured gardens and local woodlands, with views out across the glistening seascape towards the iconic volcanic plug, the Ailsa Craig. It is just a ninety-minute drive from Glasgow International Airport, and around two-and-a-half hours from Edinburgh International Airport. The home of the famous Robert Burns is on the doorstep, as is Culzean Castle, and the Scottish home of King Charles and Queen Camilla is a short drive away. The surrounding environment is simply stunning, with views extending in every direction.
