Hotel Cafe Royal

Soho, London

"A sleek and sexy environment with a warm and welcoming environment , nestled between Mayfair and Soho."

City Wellness

Cool and comfortable. The building is quite large, and historic but has just the right touch of a modern art deco-type twist.

While the building itself is historic the rooms are anything but. Sleek in design and spacious all around. Cafe Royal has 160 rooms and 49 suites. Fun fact: not only are the bathrooms all made from marble, but every bathtub in the hotel has been carved out of blocks of marble (so much so, that the world-wide production of marble was shut down for 3 months for this project.)

Pool & Gym

Cafe Royal comes with a fully equipped gym and pool. If you're a yogi, they have you covered with a room just for yoga practice/classes.

Akasha Spa is perfectly serene. From nutrition to meditation, and Reiki to Watsu, you can enjoy expert treatments, therapies and training offered at no other London hotel.

The hotel is actually named after it's land-marked, and still existing Cafe. The head pastry chef is actually the great granddaughter of The Cafe's original Head Chef and I must say -the pastries are just as exquisite as they look. The cafe is open to the public and quite a busy space throughout the day. Ten Room is their main dining space where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's casual space is perfect for family dining, business meetings or couples looking to cozy up over dinner.

Green Bar, named not only for it's glowy green walls and decor, but also for Cafe's once upon a time frequent visitor Oscar Wilde's favorite drink, Absinthe. The atmosphere is cool and buzzy in the evening with some of the best cocktails you'll find in London. Try a cocktail from their Absinthe Journey selection if you dare! They also have Oscar Wilde Bar, originally established in 1865 and formerly the legendary Grill Room, is the jewel of Hotel Café Royal which used to be the preferred hang-out for Oscar Wilde and his contemporaries. A more relaxed, yet elegantly designed environment for your Afternoon Tea. Plenty of time and care has been taken to restore its Grade II listed setting and authentic Louis XVI detailing, ringing in a new era of opulence.

Bring 'em! Cafe Royal has plenty of options to accommodate families of all sizes. With the staff's impeccable attention to the care of their guests, families should feel more than welcome to this hotel.
