Rooms + Suites

Filled with bespoke furniture and antiques.

The convent offers eighty-eight accommodations, ranging from monastic-type hideaways, to rooms with balconies boasting garden, city or Mediterranean views, and expansive apartments. Apartments span up to 166 square meters with a large kitchen, La Cornue range cooker, and dining room, and some accommodations feature private gardens.

Spanning an impressive 1237 square feet, the Le Chapitre suite can host up to three guests. Located in the convent, the suite offers a view of the cloister, a large living area and dining area, and is decorated with bespoke furniture, antiques, sculptures and old paintings. It can be opened to interconnect with the Sanctuary Suite and a third bedroom. Butler service is available on request.
Pool + Gym

Serene spaces dedicated to physical movement and relaxation.

In addition to the open-air swimming pool in the Roman baths, the hotel features a twenty-meter lap pool nestled in the garden, heated year-round. This pool offers the most spectacular panoramic views, overlooking the rooftops of Old Nice.

The Movement Studio is a space dedicated to physical movement, a place where you work your body intensely or gently to improve strength, flexibility and resistance. There are a range of activities available as part of a daily program, available as individual sessions or group classes, including functional training to improve sporting and everyday agility, breath work to eliminate toxins and stress, dance and floor-barre classes with a blend of Pilates, aerobic exercises, ballet, yoga and meditation, Ginastica Natural, and Animal Flow, a ground-based fluid movement system.
Spa

True to ancient Roman bathing tradition.

As a tribute to the remains of the Roman baths on the hill in Cimiez, Nice, Hôtel du Couvent has a thermal bath circuit. True to ancient Roman bathing tradition, guests can enjoy three successive baths: the tepidarium (temperate), the caldarium (hot) and the frigidarium (cold) before relaxing in the unctuarium, or anointment room, which offers a range of natural treatments and manual techniques as part of a personalized treatment program in partnership with selected brands and specialists.
Restaurant + Bar

Cooking rituals passed down through history.

At Hôtel du Couvent, cooking is a unique, secular ritual, passed down through history. This tradition is perpetuated with the cloister restaurant, the Guinguette café and the bistro on the Rue des Serruriers. Choose from delicacies such as raw amberjack, Barbajuans de la Roya (regional speciality), pistou gnocchi and lemon tart. Located in the cloister, Le Bar is a relaxing spot for a cocktail or natural wine. Sit inside or on the terrace for a breath of fresh air.

  • Vibe
    Historic elegance and simplicity.
  • Who's it for?
If you're looking for a place to breathe—a place where history, simplicity, and luxury blend seamlessly—then Hôtel du Couvent is your sanctuary. This is a place where people connect, children laugh, romance blossoms, and memories are made.
  • Location
Neither entirely French nor entirely Italian, Nice has a very unique history. Placed under the protection of the Duchy of Savoy for centuries, the county of Nice was only ceded to France in 1860. It was then occupied by the Italian army during World War II. Its architecture, cuisine and culture are a testimony to its eventful past. From taking a dip in the Mediterranean to dining in town or attending the opera, there is much to explore.
