Property Overview

Hotel Saint Cecilia was originally built in 1888 as the Miller-Crockett house and is among the five remaining Victorian homes of twelve originally built along this stretch of the Colorado River. The home was occupied by a descendant of Davy Crockett, Leslie Crockett, and his wife Mary Ann Miller for over sixty years before it was converted into a Bed & Breakfast in the mid-nineties. Each of the five suites, six poolside bungalows, and three studios embodies a love for the elegance of old-world luxury. The secluded property and lush grounds are open only to hotel guests, thereby offering a unique sense of privacy situated steps away from the heart of South Austin.

A luxury hideaway, created in honor of the patron saint of music and poetry

Both eclectic and elegant in design, Hotel Saint Cecilia’s twenty striking accommodations are scattered throughout the estate. All are housed in both the Victorian home and in modern additions with secluded entranceways. To suit the diverse guest personality, each room is distinctly designed from the next, yet all of the suites, poolside and garden bungalows, and studios feature a cohesive combination of antiques, modern furniture, original artwork, and outdoor lounge spaces.
Pool

An oasis in the heart of the city.

Saint Cecilia’s crowning jewel is its 50-foot heated lap pool which is open to guests twenty-four hours a day. Featuring lush landscaping and the hotel's prominent “SOUL” sign, it’s a secluded oasis in the heart of the city. Saint Cecilia also offers seated poolside dining under the arbor for breakfast and light fare.
Restaurants

Elevated cuisine.

The Saint Cecilia Lounge lives at the center of the property and provides both indoor and outdoor seating exclusively for hotel guests and private club members. Choose from a wide selection of elevated American cuisine, ranging from an artisanal cheese and charcuterie board to delicious strip steak.
Bar

Hand-crafted to your taste.

The Saint Cecilia Lounge offers a host of crafted cocktails, including a signature drink for each of their suites. We highly recommend the Lion's Tail for its artful mix of bourbon and all-spice dram. For those with a pension for spice, you must try the Paloma on Fire.
  • Who's it for?
Hotel Saint Cecilia welcomes families and couples alike to its secluded paradise. Pop music history lovers will especially love how deeply music is integrated into this property. For example, all rooms and suites also offer Rega turntables and Geneva sound systems. Additonally, guests are invited to borrow from the hotel’s lending library of vintage LPs as well as a collection of rock biographies and poetry anthologies from their favorite artists.
  • Location
The Hotel Saint Cecilia sits in the historic Travis Heights neighborhood one block from the South Congress district, home to the iconic Continental Club live music venue and other hubs of Austin culinary, entertainment, and shopping culture. This stay is a secluded spot to take it all in and escape when you’re ready to unwind.
