Rooms + Suites

Authentic Hawaiian bungalows.

Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort perfectly weaves modern luxury with local artisan touches infused throughout its 150 bungalows, known as hale. These traditional Hawaiian structures are free-standing for optimal privacy and feature oversized lanais and outdoor showers. If you’re traveling with family, consider one of the resort’s thirty-seven suites (or kauhale), which offer even more spacious accommodations and oceanfront views.

For the ultimate experience, Kona Village’s signature suites can accommodate up to twelve guests and feature outdoor showers, private pools, hot tubs, and a highly personalized butler service. With a variety of locations including oceanfront and secluded gardens, we recommend these kauhale for a more private, immersive experience.
Pool + Gym

Activities for the whole family.

With four outdoor pools and the expansive shoreline of Kahuwai Bay, there is no shortage of opportunities for fun in the sun at Kona Village. The property features two main pools, Moana Family Pool and Shipwreck Adult Pool, in addition to a keiki (kids) sand-bottomed pool and a lap pool for those wanting to squeeze in some exercise! Kilo Kai, the hotel's Ocean Pursuits program, invites you to explore the marine beauty of Kahuwai Bay and its vivid coral reefs, with playful dolphins and rainbows of tropical fish. Kickstart your day with a sunrise paddle, explore the bay with a bespoke sailing canoe excursion, or bubble below the surface on a SEABOB watercraft.

A state-of-the-art fitness center is also on-site, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows so you can work out with a view. From TechnoGym equipment like cardiovascular and weight training machines, to post-workout saunas, the gym has you covered. Pickleball and tennis courts are also available.
Spa

Restore your internal harmony at the resort's natural, healing spa.

The Asaya® Spa at Kona Village embodies Rosewood’s five key pillars of wellness: emotional balance, fitness and nutrition, physical therapies, skin health, and community. Built upon black lava with views of the Hualālai volcano, the spa is meant to inspire and heal guests through the powers of the landscape. Massages and facials are elevated through the use of local ingredients and time-honored practices that help guests achieve lōkahi, or internal harmony.
Restaurant + Bar

Flavors inspired by the bounty of Hawai'i, community, and connection.

With two unique dining outlets and a series of signature culinary experiences, Kona Village sustainably blends flavors from both land and sea. Kahuwai Cookhouse is inspired by Hawaii’s paniolo (or Hawaiian cowboy) culture and utilizes Kiawe (similar to mesquite) wood-fired cooking, the choice cooking style on a paniolo ranch. Moana offers a unique Pacific Rim-to-table menu that pays homage to the property’s former status as a fishing village. For those seeking exclusive dining experiences, discover signature culinary gatherings that transcend mere meals; they are vibrant celebrations of connection, honoring the abundant land and fostering shared moments around a communal table. Transport yourself to the heart of Hawai'i as local chefs embrace you as ‘ohana, crafting a feast celebrating the bounty of the island.

In addition to its two restaurants, Kona Village is also home to two iconic bars, Talk Story and Shipwreck Bar & Sushi. Talk Story Bar is a perfect spot to catch up with old and newly-found friends over cocktails, admire the sunset, and maybe even spot a whale or two. Set against the backdrop of swaying coconut trees and the spray of ocean waves, Shipwreck Bar & Sushi offers a seamless blend of Hawaiian hospitality and contemporary flair. The menu showcases a curated selection of playful cocktails alongside an array of Japanese culinary delights including Maki rolls and exquisite Nigiri sushi and sashimi.
