Accommodations

A quiet reminder that true beauty often resides in the lightest of moments.

Two distinct styles of guest rooms and suites are available: Heritage and newly built. The former utilizes the original spaces of the fortress, while the latter are fresh additions to the island. Whichever you choose, all feature soft interiors of natural fabrics, warm brass, solid oak, and smooth curves, creating an intimate and serene atmosphere. The air is cool, the horizon is a continuous line of blue, and the waves lap the island from dusk to dawn. Indeed, each bedroom is as close to the surrounding waters as physically possible. There’s a certain satisfaction in waking up to this as your view, a sense of being privy to something elemental.
Pool + Gym

The heart of the resort.

The Pool Deck is Mamula Island’s vibrant heart. Sitting at the center of the fort, it boasts three sleek pools (one saltwater, two freshwater), a social space for bathing, and rotating menus for drinks and dining. For the more energetic, an around-the-clock gym is hidden amongst the fort’s corridors, providing a quiet corner to zone out and zone in. The latest cardio and weights equipment awaits, while an in-house fitness trainer is available should you wish. The thoughtfully curated gym is equipped with high-quality, performance-focused gear, including NOHrD equipment, beautifully crafted wooden machines combining form and function; ZIVA SL Premium Hexagon Virgin Rubber Dumbbells & Kettlebells, durable and versatile for strength training; Skagerak accessories, sleek, Scandinavian design pieces for functional workouts and stretching; Matrix Virtual Training Cycle, an immersive indoor cycling experience; and LMX1045 Dual Adjustable Pulley, perfect for full-body strength and cable training.
Spa

Connect with surroundings and the self.

With 360° wellness at its heart, the Banyan Tree Spa is a place to connect with your surroundings and self. Expect a holistic concept of Asian wellbeing experiences designed to guide you on your journey, helping you feel balanced, restored, and joyful. The spa's evidence-based approach combines ancient Asian cultural practices and harmony with nature with a range of offerings to meet health-conscious lifestyle aspirations.

The Spa’s circular atrium, adorned with greenery, the fort’s original central water well, and thick stone walls, is the inspiration for the philosophy here. You can picture it as a cell that symbolizes the core of human wellbeing, with the original well resembling the flow and fuel of life-giving water. Leading off the atrium, the Spa spans into various distinct areas, from the wet spa facilities, including Finnish and herbal saunas, to the steam bath, halotherapy, and experience showers. There are also relaxation areas, two single treatment rooms, a couple's treatment suite, and an aqua flotation zone. At Banyan Tree we believe that we are all interconnected—through the connection to self, others, and the natural world around us. Our Spa & Wellbeing offerings are thoughtfully designed around our proprietary Eight Pillars of Wellbeing, each addressing a fundamental aspect of a balanced, joyful, and fulfilled life. These pillars guide our holistic approach to rejuvenation, promoting harmony within and around you.
