Traditional, welcoming. A large hotel that still retains soul and charm, which is mostly to do with the people. They shine, they care and they always greet you with a genuine smile.
I’m a big fan of the club level at this hotel with hardwood floors and a more residential feel. The *94 and *95 series room numbers all have wonderful views of the French Quarter.
There isn’t a pool, but the 4000 square foot gym is open 24/7 and comes complete with state of the art cardio machines, weight equipment and a spinning studio.
The spa is one of my favorites in the city, a dark and quiet oasis right off of canal street. I highly recommend the 80 minute full body voodoo ritual massage. Your whole treatment room lightly smells of absinthe and cypress.. you definitely know you’re in New Orleans.
M Bistro and Davenport lounge co-mingle to create a really neat atmosphere to enjoy cocktails, really great food and live jazz all at the same time.
Personally, I adore Davenport Lounge. It’s a spot that I send a lot of clients and friends to for live jazz if they don’t feel like jazz bar hopping along Frenchman Street. It’s a bit more buttoned up than many other jazz bars in the city, but there’s nothing wrong with that! They do a really good Pimm’s cup with blackberries.
The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans is a family friendly hotel!
It sits facing canal street, straddling the French quarter and the central business district making it ideal for business and leisure.
