Agent Tips

  • Plan for a night in when you're staying here! Your suite is so cozy you won't want to leave. Light the fire and cozy up with a new book from famous Powell's Bookstore.
  • The hotel is a block from Blue Star Donuts. Be sure to make at least one trip to try these renowned (heavenly!) bites.
Rooms + Suites

Sentinel’s art collection captures the dreamers, designers, makers and doers of our time.

The feeling of the hotel is very much captured in its art. Sentinel was inspired by the passion that drives people to innovate, stepping forward to make a difference. The large black and white portraits covering the hallways are a fun contrast to the splash of color on its green room doors. No question, you have to stay in Sentinel's Terrace Studio Suites. You'll have your own patio with an outdoor fire pit and city view! Terrace aside, Sentinel's early-20th-century style accommodations are great for guests who want cozy amenities like a fireplace. These suites are located on the sixth floor of the hotel's West Wing and guests have exclusive access to the Room at the End of the Hall, a day lounge furnished by Portland’s acclaimed Boys Fort, with complimentary coffee, tea, beverages and snacks.
Wellness

Designed to move you while you’re on the move.

Based on the belief that mindfulness, movement, and wellness should be accessible both at home and on the road, Provenance Hotels’ Well+Fit program is designed to move you while you’re on the move. From top-of-the-line equipment in the fitness centers (hello, Peloton bikes!) to partnering with local studios to provide in-person class passes, Provenance Hotels’ Well+Fit program is designed for the well-traveled and well-traveler. I loved that you could also opt for an in-room workout with with streamed online videos and the equipment in the Well+Fit bags, delivered right to your room.
Restaurants

Local go-to spot for steak and seafood.

There are four options for F&B at Sentinel: Jake's, Jackknife, Starbucks and The Domaine Serene Wine Lounge. Jake’s Grill is an American classic, and is a local go-to spot for steak and seafood, while Jackknife, created by Lightning Bar Collective, is renowned for its authentic, expertly crafted cocktails. We loved The Domaine Serene Wine Lounge for a taste of the Willamette Valley Wine Country without even leaving the hotel! You can do a wine flight and then take a bottle with you to share with friends and family at home.
Who's it for?

Fit for your four-legged friends.

Families of all sizes are welcomed to this property. In typical Provenance Hotels' fashion, pets are welcomed to Sentinel with beds, bowls, and treats upon arrival!
