Agent Tips

  • Make time for one of the private wine tastings at the estate’s winery to sample the exclusive Tuscan wines produced right on site.
  • A private olive oil tour is another fantastic way to experience the local culture, exploring the production process with a tasting of fresh, local oil.
  • The vineyards are worth exploring on foot or by bike for views across the Tuscan countryside.
Accommodations

Three distinct settings to choose from.

Tenuta di Artimino spreads its accommodations across three settings: the Paggeria Medicea, steps from the main villa, offers classically comfortable rooms; the medieval village of Il Borgo houses rustic-chic apartments that blend history with modern amenities; and the Fagianaie suites sit in a more secluded spot, surrounded by nature with panoramic countryside views.
Pool + Gym

Pools with panoramic views.

There are two seasonal outdoor swimming pools to choose from, both offering a refreshing place to retreat to on a warm day in the Tuscan countryside. The main pool, located in the expansive garden adjacent to the Medici Villa, provides panoramic views over the plains towards Prato and is pleasantly warm. Sun loungers and umbrellas are on hand, and the pools are open from seven in the morning until nine at night.
Spa

Wine and grape therapies rooted in Tuscan tradition.

If you're in need of some restoration, the onsite spa provides a range of treatments designed to rejuvenate both body and mind. Massages and therapies here draw on the estate's own wine and grapes, a service rooted in the region's rich vinicultural heritage. Rounding out the facilities are a sauna and Turkish bath, the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring the countryside.
Restaurant + Bar

Tuscan heritage in the kitchen.

Tenuta di Artimino offers two distinct dining experiences to choose from. Biagio Pignatta Cucina & Vino serves contemporary Tuscan cooking with local ingredients and estate-produced wines in a warm, welcoming setting. Down in the historic wine cellars of the Medici Villa, La Cantina del Redi offers a more intimate atmosphere, well-suited for private dinners, wine tastings, and special occasions.

The Wine Bar is the place to work through the estate's own labels – Carmignano DOCG and Chianti Montalbano among them – with sommeliers on hand to guide the way. The Pool Bar keeps things lighter, serving snacks and drinks poolside daily from nine-thirty in the morning until six in the evening.
  • Vibe
Timeless and tranquil, with strong feelings of Tuscan elegance, heritage, and natural beauty.
  • Who's it for?
We love Tenuta di Artimino for couples, families, and wine lovers looking for a peaceful Tuscan escape with history and great food built in, not to mention the classic views of the rolling hills of the region.
  • Location
Tenuta di Artimino sits in the Carmignano hills, about twelve miles from Florence – close enough for day trips to the Uffizi and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, but far enough to feel genuinely removed from the city. The surrounding area rewards exploration: the medieval village of Artimino, the Parish Church of San Leonardo, and an Archaeological Museum with Etruscan artifacts are all nearby, with the estate's own vineyards and olive groves on the doorstep.
