The Beaumont is a hotel for those who want exclusivity, as you pull up to their driveway (a rarity in London) you know that you’ve come to the right place. This boutique hotel exudes the point it’s trying to make very well: a chic, boutique ode to the once reigning Art Deco era. You will find references to this art period in every piece of furniture, the design of the doors and door frames in which they lie and especially their restaurant that just brings you back in time.Amy Wyatt
The Beaumont is a boutique property with just 73 rooms, of which 23 are studios and suites. Each room features a large king bed with crisp white linen, original black and white portraits and group photos, a curated library of books, a coffee and tea station, a large working desk with UK/US and USB sockets and exquisite bathrooms featuring mosaic tiles, large rain showers and in some a separate soaking tub. All rooms and suites feature large floor-to-ceiling windows that open wide, allowing for plenty of natural light and fresh air.
The pick of the suites has to be “The Terrace Suite,” with a large private terrace overlooking Brown Hart Garden and the rooftops of London. For those looking for a unique stay, the hotel has an exclusive suite called “ROOM” by Antony Gormley. The bedroom of this suite is contained within the giant semi-abstract sculpture at the front of the hotel.Amy Wyatt
The gym is open 24-hours, available exclusively for hotel guests. Equipment includes two running machines, an upright bike, a recline bike, a cross trainer, a Technogym Kinesis and free weights.Amy Wyatt
The spa at The Beaumont is an art deco mosaic masterpiece and features a steam room and sauna, cold plunge pool, traditional hammam, three treatment rooms, an ice bar and a relaxation area. It makes for the perfect space to retire to after a long day exploring London’s sights! The spa also offer a salon with hairdressing services for both women and men, as well as men’s grooming services including traditional wet shaves.
We recommend trying “The Beaumont Hammam Experience,” which includes a traditional hammam treatment, followed by a full body argan oil massage and a face mask. Or, experience a bespoke facial by internationally-recognized facialist and wellbeing expert Abigail James.Amy Wyatt
The cuisine at The Beaumont is outstanding. The clubby “Colony Grill” features leather banquettes and black and white portraits of some of the most famous celebrities of yesteryear. Styled on an elegant New York Grill theme, it serves some of the best steak in London, and for breakfast they have a great smashed avocado on toast (sure to be popular with Australian clientele). The atmosphere is buzzy and a popular venue for locals and tourists alike.Amy Wyatt
The Beaumont also has a discreet private lounge called The Cub room. Exclusively for the guests, the room is entirely lined in a European fiddleback cherry with horizontal bronze banding. The room features a small bar, a handmade geometric Art Deco carpet and a stunning vintage drinks cabinet and a collection of original art and photography. Here, you can enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries in the morning. Or, relax with a cocktail and bar snacks in the evening. An all-day snack menu is served by The Colony Grill to Cub room guests.Rachel Braylovsky
The American Bar, or “The Magritte Bar” as it is affectionately known, is a discreet, elegant bar that specializes in bourbons, American whiskies and classic cocktails which are strictly shaken or stirred. Such is the atmosphere, that one expects to look up and see Ernest Hemingway or F Scott Fitzgerald enjoying a drink.Amy Wyatt
The Beaumont caters for families with interconnecting options and they can arrange babysitting services. However, there is no scheduled children’s activity program and we would recommend it more for families with older children.
Situated on a quiet garden square in the heart of London’s historic Mayfair district, The Beaumont is within just a minute’s walk to Selfridges department store, seconds from Grosvenor Square and five minutes’ walk of the luxury shopping areas of Bond Street and Mount Street.
