The Curtain is a hotel, restaurant, live music venue and members club. Centered around 120 guest rooms, including fourteen suites, the property features a rooftop pool and lounge, 24-hour gym, treatment rooms, co-working space and 6,000 square feet of event space with a ballroom, screening room and more. The Curtain is a new landmark in a district bursting with personality.
The mood here is casual and cool.
Think: warehouse living with impeccable style. We’re talking exposed brickwork, hardwood floors and photos by the iconic Mick Rock and Pete Hawkins give each space a Manhattan vibe, complete with large windows, marble bathrooms, supremely comfy king-size beds, Bluetooth-enabled Marshall Speakers, hand-picked minibar selection plus bespoke, handmade amenities.
We especially love the Loft Terrace rooms. They’re spacious havens where you can sleep, relax, work and entertain. Featuring king beds, plush chesterfields, hardwood desks and extra breathing space, they are perfect for private events and the wraparound terraces offer views across the city.
The rooftop pool was named as “Best Rooftop in London” by The Independent. While it’s the talk of the town, the pool is only accessible to members and hotel guests. Take a dip while you take in the views across Shoreditch or The City, and don’t worry it’s fully heated and is even open when the sun goes down, so you can swim under the twinkling lights.
If you’re looking to squeeze in a workout, there’s also a large gym with yoga classes and spin classes daily. For the Peleton junkie, they have two state-of-the-art Peloton spinning bikes in the gym. But if you’re staying in one of the Suites or Junior Suites, then you can also bring the gym to you; call down and they’ll bring a Peleton bike right up so you can work out in your room!
Take a breather in The Curtain’s underground spa. You can treat yourself to a massage (anything from sports to relaxation) or a manicure from the amazing Imarni Nails who can either keep it simple or create something seriously creative.
Make sure you explore all of the foodie outlets The Curtain has as they’re all unique with their own splash of fun…especially the Members Club. As a SmartFlyer client, you get the added benefit of having exclusive access to The Curtain’s Member’s Club with venue’s like Billy’s Bar, their moody watering-hole (set with delicious cocktails, candelabra’s velvety couches and all) and LP, Shoreditch’s equivalent to the famous Studio 54.
The Curtain’s new cocktail bar, Green Room located just off the lobby and open to everyone. Sit down here for a drinks list inspired by East London, not to mention, a seriously chic interior.
Legendary chef Marcus Samuelsson’s first London outpost is sister restaurant to the Harlem institution famed for its nearly impossible-to-get-into weekend brunch. Open for lunch, dinner and Sunday Gospel Brunch, Red Rooster serves up soul food with a twist, plus cocktails from sustainability champs Trash Tiki, live music every day. If there’s a special event coming up, look no further than the private courtyard or dining room. Celebration or not, this place is a must-dine!
With a retractable glass roof and Moroccan-inspired pool, LIDO is a Mediterranean marvel on The Curtain rooftop. A year-round dining destination, the day-to-night brasserie serves up fresh, seasonal fare with big sky views. LIDO is only open to hotel guests and Curtain members.
The Curtain sits at the heart of Shoreditch, London’s most creative district.
