Rooms + Suites

Mixing old world velvet curtains and frescos with contemporary furniture.

Rooms are all bright, airy and fresh with a strong sense of place. The design mixes old world touches—think heavy velvet curtains, frescos and ornate wallpaper—with lighter contemporary furniture and huge windows that provide the perfect view onto the river and the landmarks that line it. Rooms are decorated in three different styles: Florentine, Renaissance, and Medici. The Florentine rooms are bright with frescos, white walls with gray moldings, wood floors, and contemporary pops of color. Renaissance rooms have wood floors with Renaissance print area rugs, frescos, champagne wallpaper, and gray moldings. Medici rooms have wall-to-wall carpeting (many have parquet foyers), plus heavier, more authentic Florentine antique furnishing, beige walls with white moldings, and bedside velvet backboards flowing from the ceiling. In honor of Florence and its traditions, each accommodation is named after a noteworthy Italian figure.

The Spa Suites—Tourmarine, Aquamarine and Citrine—are all characterized by refined details from opulent gold and silver walls to Carrara marble and crystal sculptures.
