Chongwe House is a four-bedroom, two-story private house set on a tranquil stretch of the Chongwe River, with mountain views beyond and the wildlife of the Lower Zambezi right at the water's edge. Built from river pebble and furniture carved from winterthorn trees, the house feels deeply rooted in its setting – a spacious verandah is the natural gathering spot for watching elephants wade across the river and listening to vervet monkeys in the canopy above. The culinary team works with locally produced ingredients to create meals that can be enjoyed under the stars, by the river, or wherever the mood takes you, while the bar staff handle sundowners, a cherished African tradition.
