Accommodations

Viceroy Los Cabos offers 198 rooms and suites, with the standout options being the multi-level villas designed for those who want to settle in and stay a while.
Pool + Gym

A choice of pools depending on your mood.

Viceroy Los Cabos has five pools to choose from, including a lap pool and family pool in the Main Courtyard and two beach pools steps from the Sea of Cortez. The crown jewel is the semi-private, adults-only rooftop pool on Tower 3, where the views over the ocean and San José del Cabo are as much of a draw as the water itself.

The fitness center at Viceroy Los Cabos was designed by celebrity trainer, fitness guru, and New York Times bestselling author, Harley Pasternak, and is equipped accordingly. Expect cardiovascular machines, Hoist Roc-It strength equipment, weight racks, spin bikes, a circuit training room, and a motion cage powered by cables and weights. Private and group fitness and yoga classes are also available, with complimentary and paid options that vary by season. Advance booking is recommended.
Spa

Holistic wellness taken care of.

Viceroy's spa spans 11,000 square feet and centers on a signature vitality pool and thermal suite experience, where varying temperatures, hydrotherapy, and thermal chambers work together in a dramatic grotto-inspired setting. Ice fountains and experience showers round out the circuit. Treatment rooms offer a thoughtful menu of locally inspired and Viceroy signature treatments, including foot rituals performed under soft lighting and with tranquil music.
Restaurant + Bar

Familiar comforts and refreshing new tastes.

From street-level tacos to rooftop sundowners, Viceroy Los Cabos offers six distinct dining experiences that together paint a vivid picture of Baja California's culinary landscape. Awacate Mexican Kitchen brings the energy of the street to the table, while Casero Restaurant offers comforting homestyle mesa cuisine. NIDO serves up fresh ceviche alongside Japanese-inflected dishes with Mexican soul, and Nidito Beach Bar and Grill keeps things casual poolside.

Viceroy Los Cabos has four bars across the resort, each featuring a signature cocktail. Kick things off at the casual garden-side Awacate Bar, move to Otro Bar for afternoon drinks with views of the striking water mirror courtyard and the nest-like Nido beyond, then head beachside to Nidito Bar and Grill as the light softens. Save Cielomar Rooftop Lounge for last, the natural finale with sunset views over the Sea of Cortez.

  • Location
Viceroy Los Cabos sits on the beach at the gateway to San José del Cabo, the quieter, more culturally rich of the two towns that make up the Los Cabos corridor. While Cabo San Lucas built its reputation as a playground for the famous and became the louder, more tourist-facing side of Cabo, San José has its own distinct character rooted in centuries of history. Spanish Jesuits settled here in the late 1600s and erected the first of seven Baja missions in 1730, and that sense of heritage still runs through the town today, with cobblestone streets, an art district, and historic buildings converted into galleries, restaurants, and shops all within easy reach of the resort.San José is also considered the safer and more laid-back side of Cabo, making it a natural fit for families, solo travelers, and groups who want culture and coastline over nightlife. A running and biking path winds through much of the town and draws locals and visitors alike. The surrounding area also has a strong agrarian tradition, with organic farms including Flora Farms, Acre Baja, and Tamarindo nearby — and on any given morning, it's not unusual to spot horses or cattle making their way through the streets.
