Accommodations

A perfect combination of classic sophistication and warm elegance.

Villa La Massa features fifty-one luxury rooms, all unique and divided into five classical Tuscan-style buildings: the Noble Villa, the Villino, The Mill, Casa Colonica, and the Limonaia. Having been recently restored, Casa Colonica and the Limonaia offer a more contemporary style and a fresh feeling to the collection, whereas the decor of the Noble Villa, the Villino and The Mill evokes the Renaissance atmosphere. Think: canopy beds, elegant fabrics, boiseries, frescoed ceilings, tapestries, and refined marble bathrooms. Each room is a perfect combination of classic sophistication and warm elegance, along with all the modern comforts. Additionally, each room offers wonderful views of the park, the Chianti Hills, or the Arno River – fairytale-inspired surroundings inviting guests to immerse themselves in peaceful relaxation and romanticism.

Located at the entrance of Villa La Massa, Casa Colonica is an ancient 6500-square-foot farmhouse, dating back to the mid-1800s. Completely renovated in 2018, Casa Colonica features classically Tuscan décor – the discerning use of terracotta, stone, wrought iron, and wood perfectly matches with the warm earth tones of Villa La Massa as a whole, transforming Casa Colonica into a luxurious and chic country house. It features four new Suites, each with private bathrooms and walk-in closets, a charming internal courtyard appointed with wrought-iron chairs and surrounded by the aroma of fresh jasmine, and a refurbished kitchen, though the highlight is an ancient bread-baking oven dating back to the 1500s that was uncovered during the renovation. Casa Colonica (as well as The Villino) is ideal for hosting family and friends and may be rented in its entirety to guarantee full privacy.
Pool + Gym

Surrounded by fragrant lemon trees, olive groves, and cypress trees.

Villa La Massa offers a striking new outdoor heated pool surrounded by fragrant lemon trees, olive groves, and cypress trees, equipped with sun loungers for relaxing. There is a smaller adjacent pool for kids as well. The pool is serviced by the Oliveto Bistrot, a casual dining outlet serving Tuscan specialities and international classics, so you don't have to lift a finger.

A twenty-four-hour gym is located in the Noble Villa, adjacent to the spa. Enjoy a full range of modern fitness equipment, plus TV screens and music to accompany your workout. If you prefer to take your fitness routine outside, Villa La Massa is surrounded by twenty-five acres of gardens and running/walking paths.
Spa

Authentic Tuscan elegance with modern comforts.

The Arno SPA offers informal yet warm hospitality, in an ambiance that combines authentic Tuscan elegance with the most modern comforts. The spa comprises a wet area with Turkish bath, sauna, Roman bath with hydromassage and sensorial showers, and a beauty area with two treatment rooms, including one for couples. Their product line is Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, created for rediscovering harmony and relaxing your body and mind.
Restaurant + Bar

Tuscan specialties paired with exceptional wines.

Villa La Massa's fine-dining restaurant, Il Verrocchio, boasts a wonderful terrace directly overlooking the Arno River, perfect for breakfast and al fresco dining. At dinner, Il Verrocchio offers traditional Italian and Mediterranean gourmet dishes, as well as Tuscan specialties paired with exceptional wines. Overlooking the pool area, Oliveto Bistrot (named after surrounding olive trees used to produce the hotel's own olive oil) occupies a former barn, which has been lovingly restored to offer relaxed Tuscan dining. Guests can enjoy classic Tuscan dishes and Italian staples on the scent-filled, shaded terrace, while interiors feature reclaimed wooden beams, exposed stone walls, and Tuscan flagstones. The upper floor offers views of the lemon trees and green hills beyond.

The Bar Mediceo, primely located in the main villa, is a glamorous and alluring lounge where guests can sip an aperitif or one Villa La Massa's signature cocktails. During the warm season it extends in the panoramic Arno Square, which is the heart of the hotel where guests gather together for aperitivo. Sunset is not to be missed from here!
