What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

Honestly, it’s impossible to pick just one. My year and a half travelling through Malaysia, Australia, and Bali shaped me more than anything else. There’s something about slow, unhurried travel that changes the way you see things in ways you don’t fully notice until you’re home. But two moments stand out. Nothing quite prepared me for arriving in Venice by boat. There’s a point where the city simply comes into view and everything goes quiet. You just stare. No photograph had come close.

And diving the Great Barrier Reef. It was a grey, murky day and the sea looked uninspiring from above. But the moment you put your head underwater, it was like entering a different world. Colour everywhere, the strangest, most beautiful fish I’d ever seen. That contrast between the dull surface and what was happening just beneath it genuinely took my breath away. I still think about it.

Which destinations are you looking forward to visiting? Why?

Luxury train travel has been on my list for longer than I can remember, and honestly, the destination almost feels secondary. There’s something about the whole experience that really appeals to me: the ritual of dressing for dinner, watching the landscape drift by from a beautifully appointed carriage, having nowhere to be except exactly where you are. No itinerary demanding your attention, no rushing from place to place.

Whether it’s the Scottish Highlands, across Europe on the Orient Express, through the landscapes of Asia, or the Andes in South America, what draws me is the journey itself rather than the arrival. I love the old-school glamour of it, the sense that travel can be an occasion in its own right.

With a knack for perfectionism in all she does, Gaelle crafts unforgettable experiences for her clients.

Currently based in London, Gaelle originally hails from Lyon, France. Previously calling Paris, New York, and Saint-Tropez home, she has worked under the stewardship of some of the most renowned hotels in the world including Four Seasons Hotel George V, The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, and The Mark. With many years of experience in VIP guest relations and luxury event planning, Gaelle inherently understands the needs of even the most discerning clientele.

In addition to her professional experience, Gaelle is a mother of three and loves to travel with her family, as well as with friends, and in the right destinations, solo as she continually scouts the world’s most sought-after destinations. She enjoys exploring accommodations that exude uniqueness paired with both trending and classic restaurants. Gaelle’s passion for food and wine, along with her professional tenure with Paul Bocuse, empowers her to continually recommend the freshest culinary experiences. Additionally, the network she has built and continually fostered while wearing various hats across the hospitality industry has enabled her to open a whole new world of discovery for her clients.

Which destinations or hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

My favorite places are where I’ve created memories with my family. This includes Croatia, where my husband is from. I fell in love with the warmth of the people, their passion for their country, the beauty of the Adriatic, and the divine food. Lyon and Saint-Tropez will always be my homes, and I visit my family and favorite spots whenever I can. Then comes Marrakech, a more recent infatuation. I love the people, food, beauty, smells, and fun. It’s the easiest destination from London to have a culturally enriching weekend with friends or family.

Which destinations are you looking forward to visiting? Why?

I have many destinations on my bucket list! Japan and Turkey are currently at the top of my list. I would love to return to Africa, where I had the most memorable safari experience on my honeymoon.

As a travel designer and self-proclaimed hotel and airline geek who lives and breathes travel, Lionel has visited eighty countries and lived on four continents — these life-enriching experiences have provided him invaluable insights on the latest and greatest in luxury travel.

Lionel grew up in London’s Chelsea neighborhood where he became passionate about the intricacies of hotels, airlines, and all things related to luxury travel from a very young age. As a global nomad with three passports, Lionel has travelled aboard most of the world’s top airlines, transited through more airports than there are days in the year, and stayed at many of the most lavish hotels worldwide.

As a travel advisor, Lionel’s niche caters to high-end leisure and corporate travellers worldwide. He is well-positioned to give candid, impartial, first-hand travel advice to ensure you have a memorable and seamless trip, filled with life-long travel memories. He regularly attends the leading luxury travel shows around the world where he deepens personal connections with hotels and travel operators to ensure his clients are well taken care of around the world.

Which destinations or hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

I love Zermatt in Switzerland and have been visiting the region since I was a young child. I never get bored of its natural beauty as the quintessential postcard Swiss alpine town with the majestic Matterhorn as a backdrop. I’m also a fan of its world-class restaurants and legendary Swiss hospitality – to me, these are all the ingredients for a magical destination.

I’m also a regular visitor to Mexico City for its culture, delicious food, and friendly people. It quickly became one of my favourite cities in the world and I find myself returning often to stay up to speed on its forever-changing culinary scene

Which destinations are you looking forward to visiting? Why?

I’m looking forward to returning to Japan. I find it to be such a fascinating and unique destination that offers something for almost everyone from its artfully-prepared food to its famous powder snow for winter sports enthusiasts, plus, its culture, history, and beautiful scenery. It also offers some of the best hotels and restaurants in the world.

I travel the globe sourcing the very best hotels, experiences, restaurants and hidden gems to make my clients' trips extra special.

While Emyr is London-based, he spends more than half the year exploring new destinations; because there’s nothing quite like waking up in a hotel room with a view.

After studying Math and Economics at university and launching directly into a career in finance, Emyr decided he needed a change in 2009. With a love for fine dining, he founded London-based concierge service, Bon Vivant. During the early years, his focus was on scoping out the best restaurants, bars, shops and experiences for clients in London. But as his expertise around luxury hotels grew, Emyr evolved his services to include planning luxury travel for clients all over world.

Emyr’s two loves are travelling and dining out, so having a career that affords him the chance of doing both on a regular basis is a dream. When he’s not in London, Emyr can be found sourcing the very best hotels, experiences, restaurants and hidden gems to make his clients’ trips especially memorable. You can be sure that if there’s a new restaurant or hotel opening, he’ll be there at the bar with a glass of champagne, seeking out the best of the best for his clients. In addition to designing travel experiences for clients, Emyr has a travel and lifestyle journal where he blog about his travel experiences.

The Bon Vivant lifestyle is all about experiencing the best culinary experiences, but how do incorporate wellness into your everyday life and travels to stay balanced?

As much as dinner reservations at the hottest spots are an anchor to both my life in London and travels abroad, making time for wellness is just as important. I love checking into a hotel with a high performance gym and spa. For instance, the Hotel Esencia in Tulum which has a health club overlooking the estate’s cenote. With a fitness room, juice bar and spa all on basically on the beach, they beautifully integrate hallmarks of modern wellbeing so I can feel good about that afternoon mojito under a palapa. When I’m home, this all looks a little less beach-y, but I’m a big fan of Barry’s Bootcamp.

Of all the places you’ve been, which destinations are your favorite?

My favourite destinations are St Barths, the Amalfi Coast, and the South of France. Although, my heart belongs to London, a city you can really never tire of.
